“LOVED MANAGER.... we stayed for 3months!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2010

Well my husband job transfers him to different states and city some times it's 6 months some time it's a year. Well we looking for a hotel that a like an apartment but we didn't want to commit to a lease So my husband found this hotel and checked us in.We stayed in a two bed studio I thought the bed seemed a little hard so I told the manager and he gave me extra padding and an extra blanket made it so much softer the room was clean and I checked for bed bugs on the United State Bed Bug website http://bedbugregistry.com/hotel/NM/Albuquerque/Crossland-Economy-Studios-Albuquerque----Northeast ............And it says; There are no bedbug encounters on record for this address. So we felt safe to stay there with our little guy. any time we had any problems like my husband plugged up the bath room sink the maintenance guy came the next day in the morning and fixed it laundry room was clean but a little pricey I found a Albertson,s right up the street make a right on Ellison till you hit Wyoming it is on your left hand side. We loved that the Rail Runner was about 3 minute drive the only problem we really had was a guy next door had way to much to drink and there was more then one man in the room called the lobby due to the laud noises and in about a minute the girl in the lobby told them to settle down or the manager was kicking them out after that it was so quiet. We think they kicked Assshhh... for the price, helpful and friendly the only thing I would change it the Frig I love to cook I even had a mini oven I bought at Walmart so I can bake but the manager told me if I needed more room they have a Frig in the office that they will let you put food in other then that everything was great and next time we are in Albuquerque we will be staying there!!! A big thanks to Robert the Manager you are a sweetheart and just a great person! Thanks for a great stay!!! =)

“HORRIBLE I would give it less than 1 star if I could.”

We booked in advance and stayed at the Crossland Economy Studios in Albuquerque, NM for two months while our house was being finished.
The hotel clerks as well as management were rude and uncaring. The rooms were absolutely filthy and extremely small. The internet connection was so horrible that most times you could not use it at all. There are two dirty burners and a tiny fridge in this cramped queen size room. The fridge did not work but they did replace it quickly.
While we were there, some stranger from another room tried to break into our room for no apparent reason except he was drunk and/or stoned and acted like he was crazy. We called the desk clert who said to call the police and the idiot hotel security guard got the message from the desk clerk mixed up and thought my husband and I were the ones making the disturbance and told that to the police. The police showed up with SWAT who had rifles pointed at us. It took over an hour to straighten everything out with the police while we waited outside in the cold. The police arrested the stranger for numerous felonies including assaulting one of the police officers that night and took him to jail. The hotel fired the idiot security guard the next day and apologized, but this place is a nightmare! The laundry room was also broken into and the change boxes were crowbarred open and robbed while we were there. This all happened while their security guard was on duty and supposedly patrolling. Using a crowbar on those machines must have made a TON of noise but apparently no one including the security guard, saw or heard anything.
We also found bedbugs towards the end of our stay. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! It's filty and dangerous because of the type of clientele they attract.

We appreciate the feedback from all our guests at Crossland Economy Studios Northeast. We have taken steps to ensure this guests experience is not the normal experience. The property is in the process of receiving room renovations and has gone through the standard exterminating requirements to ensure bed bugs are not an issue for future guests. Bed Bugs can be found in even the most luxurious hotels rooms and we take our clean up very seriously. We hope if you return to the area, you will see the improvements made at this hotel to include a new parking lot, lobby upgrade and room renovations with new carpet, paint, and kitchen floors. We apologize for any inconveniences you experienced. The property is under a new manager and will ensure guest satisfaction at all times! We hope you will give us another chance!

“Good price for a nice clean room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 July 2010

I was looking for a cheap hotel room to stay at for a business trip. This one was a good price with good reviews on the internet. I made a mistake in the date when I placed the reservation, but the manager fixed the problem with no hassle whatsoever.

I wasn't expecting much for under $40, but was pleasantly surprised to find the room clean and in good working order. It was in a decent neighborhood and had a large fence surrounding the parking lot. I was impressed to find dishes and pans in the cabinets to cook with. They provide soap and towels, and you can buy other supplies from a vending machine near the office. Internet costs extra, if you need it, but it is nice not to have the price built in to the room if you don't need it.

Overall, I had a great experience and will stay there again the next time I go to Albuquerque..

“Best crossland studio - Well maintained - good staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2010

No one can beat their price and quality. They had the best staff - friendly, responsive. Housekeeping is good, well maintained rooms - all clean and good linens. They revoked my room access as they had misunderstanding in my booking. But the staff explained the issue and resolved it quickly. Keep up the good work!

“The Kitchen is a Big Hit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2008

In my next vacation to Albuquerque NM ( in the spring of 2009) I will definitely stay at Crossland Extended Stay Hotel on Ellison Street.
I especially love having a kitchen so I can brew my Starbucks in the morning (I'm completely useless without my coffee to wake me up).
The refrigerator is big enough to hold my left-overs from eating out. The stove and microwave are great for heating up my left overs (or for preparing scrambled eggs). The kitchen is equipped with standard pots, pan, silvers, dishes, cups, glasses. If you need more, the staff at the desk will lend you (I borrowed flatiron/ board and hair dryer). They'll give you complimentary coffee but since we stayed for a week, I ended up buying coffee filters for my Starbucks ground coffee.

Housekeeping is provided after 6 or 7 days. But for the very reasonable rate (about $30 a day), who needs daily maid service? I trade in my daily towels for fresh ones. I throw out my garbage in the cart conveniently set outside my door on the second floor. They give me garbage liners when I ask.

"Tis like having a mini home!

I definitely recommend this hotel to all my acquaintances. Next time I'm going to rent the DELUXE with 2 queen beds. It has a living room with a sleeper.

There is also a working/ eating table and Wi-Fi connection (for a $5 charge). I got a discount of $50.00 for a 7 day stay.

The location is safe, well lighted, in a commercial area where other hotels are like Hampton, Marriott, etc. Denny's is a stone throw away, for breakfast. A block away is San Mateo Drive where I got my rental car from ENTERPRISE (they give you a free ride to the main office).

My Christmas holiday with my family never got so glitch free. Thanks to my hotel. I definitely had a wonderful time without breaking my budget.

I'm giving Extended Stay a 5 star (the best score).

  • Liked — Close to my in-laws on Osuna Street
  • Disliked — I did not have a light vacuum cleaner ( I could have asked )
