“Needs Lots Of Work”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 June 2011

We picked this from the Room Saver coupon book but this hotel was not worth the money I paid. The lady behind the cage was a bit gruff and cranky she was way too old to be working the night shift. The best thing I can say about the room was that it was clean, The plumbing needed lots of work and the room was begging to be updated. If this was the last room in the area I would not stay here again, not even if the room was free!!! When you are affiliated with a national chain of hotels you should try and live up to a standard!

“Nightmare”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 June 2011

I liked the price, and it ended there. Arrived and the older lady employee had her at least 50 yo son with her on duty. They were behind cages, which should have been my first clue. I asked if it was a safe parking lot to unload baggages, and they replied yes. I jokingly said, "So I won't have to attack anyone." And the son said,"Me, you would have to attack me. It's been a long time since I was attacked." Yes, I'm a single mom traveling with my special needs thirteen yo son. I just ignored him. We unloaded, the room is dated and tacky looking. We went to eat and on the way back, two cop cars almost ran me over going into the hotel parking lot. I also see a guy standing outside the office talking through a window asking for a room. I guess they lock the office after a certain time?? So, the cops are out of their cars roaming through the parking lot looking for ?? and going to some rooms. There are no parking spaces close to my room without cutting through the cop cars which are blocking the road, obviously some kind of emergency. Then the guy that had been asking for a room comes by and makes a comment about what the h/// I'm doing because he is trying to walk here!!! Plenty of room for him... He leaves which opens up a space, I back up to get it and 2 ambulances come, so I'm scooting over for them. Then the son comes by, "You can't park there." I start to explain why I'm behind these cars and he interrupts me and repeats himself. Then, the mom comes by and says the same thing! I'm looking at them like remember me?? The son tells me to calm down, the mom says they have to go. Time for them to get off and I'm stopped (or parked, if you are to believe them) behind there car! I called the front desk and the new guy, although quite a bit nicer, wasn't giving any answers. I tried to go online on site I had booked on and of course their complaint form didn't work. I'm wondering if it's an every day occurance for two police officiers to be roaming through their parking lot looking around and they just go on like these officiers weren't even there? I would avoid this place at all costs. I plan to.

Room Tip: one that has a more secure lock than ours

“Good for Balloon Festival”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2010

My husband and I stayed here because we wanted to get up really early and get to the Albuquerque Balloon Festival. It was very convenient and close to the site. The rooms are a bit tired, but very clean. It serves it's purpose if you just want to check in the night before, get a good night's sleep, a free breakfast, and leave the next morning. The staff was very pleasant, though it was a bit disconcerting to have the front desk person behind bullet proof glass.....

“Good deal for cheap stay with ammenities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2010

I spent 2 nights in Albuquerque. The first night at Motel 6 which was nice and new, but they raise their prices on Thurs-Sat. so I moved to the Rodeway for Thurs. night and am glad I did. It is a nice hotel. Free Wi-Fi in the room. Room had an iron and full ironing board, hair dryer, shampoo bottles. The free breakfast was nice: make your own waffles, cereal and milk, donoughts, juices, coffee, tea. More than the typical continental. The pool is a good size. My only complaint is the carpet in the room was dirty. I was walking in the room without shoes or socks and when I got in the shower the bottoms of my feet were black. I did not walk outside the room so it must have been the carpet. It did not smell dirty and looked very normal. I would stay again. Great value for the cheap price.
