“Poor Service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

Not a pleasant experience. Hotel staff were friendly, but unprofessional. Rooms were large, but not completely clean (always hate to find someone else's hair in the bathtub). The "breakfast" area was too small and not arranged efficiently, with a limited choice of food. Their indoor fountain leaked all over the floor at the foot of the stairs and I watched as the employees posted a wet floor sign but did nothing about it. I eventually recommended that they put an outdoor rug at the bottom of the stairs so no one fell. Never could figure out the knobs on the air conditioner. Won't be back.

“Pet friendly and reasonable rates”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

The hotel is next to I-25. Cracker Barrel is easy walking distance accross the street. There were many pet owners staying for an agility judging.

Very good, remodeled room at reasonable price. Dirty room entrance and filthy area around breakfast room, not to mention the large beetle crawling on breakfast room floor.

Room Tip: Take the room, skip the breakfast.

“Fine for one night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2011

I stayed for one night wich was good enought for me. On check in I had to wait a few minuted while the clerk finished her smike break in the parking lot. She was effecient and pleasant though. The room was ok but not vacuumed very well. I also had two annoying flys in my room. The a/c unit knobs were not in good repair but the a/c did work ok. As for using my laptop, I had to crawl under the table/desk to plug it in as there are very few unused outlets. The bed was very comfortable which was a plus. In the morning the toilet backed up and flooded but someone came and cleaned up fairly quickly and I did recieve a discount on check out.

Room Tip: The room in back of property were quiet .

“Friendly but lackadaisical staff”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2011

The room was sort of clean but we were plagued with flies in the room and at breakfast. We killed seven on the first day and five on the second. The dead flies on the bathroom floor were still there after maid service. We prepaid on the Internet for two nights or we would have left after one. Staff was frequently observed taking personal cell phone calls, talking to friends and family. Breakfast was not very varied, cereal, bread and waffles. The configuration of the breakfast area was terrible, no room to maneuver and during breakfast a main exit for the hotel was blocked. Not sure if we will ever stay at a LaQuinta again.
