“Black Mold everywhere!!!! No refund given!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2010

My friend and I were visiting Albuquerque and decided to stay at the Econo Lodge by Eubank. It was disgusting. The walls were dirty, water damaged and had holes in them. The hair dryer had been removed. The room was half the size of rooms that go for the same price at the other Econo Lodge locations we have stayed at.... and finally... The room was covered in Black Mold. It was everywhere and fully visible on the walls. I am an asthmatic and started wheezing immediately. My friend and I put our stuff back in the car and tried to check out and the on site manager refused to give us a refund!!! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL... they keep your money regardless of whether or not you stay and they don't take the time to keep the rooms clean/mold free. If you or your child has any sort of lung disease this play can kill you and you will still have to pay for it. Disgusting.

“DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU DON'T WANT/NEED HOT WATER!!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2009

Friend and I stayed here one night to catch flight out of Albuquerque next morning. We wanted a smoking room and were told there was one left - however, there was only one ashtray in the room - also, there was no remote control for the TV. Worst of all, there was absolutely no hot water that evening to take a shower. When we called front desk, they said it would be fixed in about 30 mintues. It never was fixed that evening or by the next morning. Front desk refused to credit or discount any of our $56+ bill for the one night or respond to complaint we made at the Better Business Bureau. Beware - stay somewhere else!!!!

“OK for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 March 2009

Passing thru town and spotted this place for an overnight stay. Just off I-40.Got a good rate at $40. Not a lot of ammenities, but this is a budget hotel. Was reasonably clean and quiet, A/C-heat worked ok and not too loud. Check in was OK. Several restaurants within walking distance. Only signifigant problems were alarm clock missing and I did not receive the wake up call I requested from the front desk. I would stay here again because of the good rate and easy on/off I-40.

“Hotel Circle NE Location”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2008

At arrival, the young lady at the desk was very pleasant and accomodating. The room however was musty and not all that nice. The young lady came to our room and sprayed something on the carpeting but it didn't really help. There was mold in the shower, and the bathroom door threshhold had tacks sticking up that hurt the feet if you stepped on it. The clothes rack was falling off the wall. The toilet paper holders were broken. We found someone's medication under the bed along with a necklace and numerous french fries. Housekeeping lacked a great deal. Someone tried to get into our room just after midnight and finally figured out that they had the wrong room. Later on about 2:30 AM, there was a problem with some young men who were rowdy and security had to deal with them. At checkout, the lady was very nice and had made us coffee even tho we checked out very early. The parking lot lighting was very good, and we did have a decent few hours of sleep.

  • Liked — Staff on arrival and checkout were very good
  • Disliked — The room wasn't all that clean and it smelled very musty

“Cheap but Aged”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2008

Cheap, paid $40 for room on Expedia. Outside of the downtown area but accessible to the freeway. No real complaints, it was just old and somewhat worn down.
