I have difficulty walking due to balance issues from a stroke, and I made it quite clear of my situation to the person I spoke with when making the reservation by phone. I asked for a room near the elevators, and I was assured my request would be granted upon arrival. When we arrived, we found the room couldn't have been any further from the elevator, so we requested another room, and were given one slightly closer, but the noise from the traffic on that side of the building was extremely loud. Not much can be done about that though. Also, knowing my situation, it would have been helpful if I had been informed of steps (a flight of 4 steps) I would have to climb to get to one of the levels after exiting the elevator. The suites were clean and roomy, however, the coffee maker and refrigerator didn't work. Food brought in from a local (expensive - not fast food) restaurant had to be thrown away, which was very disappointing. Even though this hotel is older, the inside is beautiful, and the atrium where the free, delicious, made-to-order breakfasts are offered, is lovely. There is a gated underground garage, which was nice. I will tell others about this hotel. It does have some good points, but also has some issues that need to be addressed.
