We really enjoyed the hotel. The Santa Fe Hospital was built early in the 1900s, and converted into a hotel in 2010. Several nice touches remind the visitor of the origins of the hotel, such as brown toiletry bottles reminiscent of old apothecary bottles. In would definitely ask for a room in the old hospital, not the doctors residences. We were initially put in room 204 in the residences, as separate building. There is no elevator in this building. 204 apparently presented a particular challenge to the renovation. The TV is on a wall to the side of the bed, and is therefore basically unusable. However, the bathroom was large and nice. When we explained that we were expecting a different sort of room from what we had seen online, they very kindly upgradednus to 301 in the main building. It was a very nice suite, in what I presume was the old nurses station. They were certainly very gracious in helping us.
Room Tip: Avoid 204 for sure, and try to get in main building.

Dear WeBRads,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay with us at Hotel Parq Central. We are delighted that you found the restoration to have preserved the integrity of the building's history. This was very important to us and we are glad to know you enjoyed it. You are accurate; room 2204 presented the most challenges in the renovation from a hospital to hotel, as the original windows and doors are still in tact in the residence, thus we had to work within those confines when creating guest rooms. We are hoping to find a more suitable position for the television in this room, as the logical wall to place it on is where the closet doors are located, but so far we have not found the best solution. Some guests enjoy being in the residence, as it is the most historic building on our campus, while others enjoy the cottages, main building or powerhouse. We are always happy to accommodate any request and we are so happy that you enjoyed your room on the third floor.
We appreciate you choosing to stay with us and we hope to see you again soon!
All the best,
Noelle Wallace
