“Good stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Stayed here with colleague when on business in Albuquerque in January 2012. Have stayed here three times previously and always found the hotel staff really helpful and pleasant. Rooms are spotless and well proportioned with coffee maker fridge and microwave, Laundry facility on site and also gym facility. Theres an Applebees directly opposite which is standard Applebees american fayre and good value for money. Hotel is near the interstate,
Standard Holiday Inn breakfast included with juices, muffins, cereal and hot buffet. A pleasant 'no nonsense' quiet hotel ideal for families and business people alike. There is a small pool although it was too cold to use when we were there

“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

We stayed here a few nights on the way to Phoenix. The staff is very friendly and the shuttle service is nice. We took the Rail Runner train to Santa Fe. The hotel shuttle dropped us off and picked us up. Also, took us out to the Bio Park and Zoo which is very nice. There is an Applebee's next door which is also convenient.

The rooms were pretty clean and it's conveniently located by the interstate.

I was delighted to hear that you found our staff very friendly and that you were able to utilize our complimentary shuttle service to take you to several area attractions. “Ok, close to UNM”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

Holiday inn express- NM
We stayed here for a few nights while visiting UNM.
The location was good for our needs those days just a quick 15 min drive the University but for most travelers not really that close to the tourist area of Old Town.
The hotel is aged, even though it's been remolded and not really what we're used to when traveling, but the price was good.
The rooms are large which was a plus and the furnishing adequate but really nothing special.
We tried the pool one day and it was well maintained but again nothing special.
The breakfast in the mornings was subpar I would recommend eating elsewhere, but the service was good and the staff friendly and accommodating,  Overall a good budget hotel close to UNM.

Dear Guest,

Thank you so very much for your review of our hotel. I am glad that you found our location convenient to the University of New Mexico. We are exactly six (6) minutes from UNM and also just nine (9) minutes from the Old Town area. Being in the Midtown part of Albuquerque, we have quick access to both I-40 & I-25 and all tourist destinations North/South and East/West. We like to say we are 15 minutes away from anything in town!

I was pleased to hear that you found our rooms large and comfortable and an overall good value. I was disappointed to learn that you felt our breakfast was unsatisfactory. We do provide a hot, all you can eat, complimentarty breakfast breakfast with fresh eggs, breakfast meat, biscuits and gravy, fresh pancakes, hot and cold cereal, fruit, yogurt, assorted bagels, breads, muffins and assorted juices and coffee. We do try to have something for everybody.

Thank you so much for staying with us. We would love to have the opportunity to host you again on your next trip to town.

Warm Regards,
Shirley Snell

“Average HI Express Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

If you are a fan of the HI Express brand, this is an average hotel in the chain. Rooms were fairly clean and of typical size. Great views of the mountains. Close to restaurants and shopping. Close to most attractions in Albuquerque. Breakfast is standard HI Express fare. Plenty of seating room. Lobby and the grounds are average but seemed clean. The staff was friendly and we did not have any problems. If the price is right it's a good deal for a place to rest your head.

“great time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

We went for a Bowl game and did not want to stay in the team hotel so we found this hotel. The room are comfortable and clean, but not over fancy. The staff is very friendly and responsive, we had a backed up sink which they took care of right away. there were breath taking views of the Sandia mountains from the room. The front desk staff is the best, most helpful, and friendly staff of any hotel i have stayed in. Late check out no problem, near to all the attractions in the downtown area wold stay here again and again.

Room Tip: ask for the back to see the mountains out of your window
