“Great location for the Balloon Fiesta”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

I booked HoJo through the Wyndham website for two nights and there was a glitch in the pricing - however HoJo honoured the price I was originally quoted (thanks Vangie) so I got excellent value for money at this busy time.
Hotel located right on the Pan American Freeway so great for accessing Albuquerque, Balloon Fiesta Park and Santa Fe. Reasonable amount of (free) parking. Check in was smooth and room changed to a higher floor on request (even though they were almost full - so sorry to the person who arrived later and got the 1st floor room that had been allocated to me!). Room was spacious, newly decorated but with a couple of wallpaper mistakes around the window!!!! Did nothing to spoil the stay. Breakfast pretty much standard - nothing special, nothing bad. I would stay here again if I was in the area and needed a room for the night.

Room Tip: During the Balloon Fiesta try for a room on the north side to get great views

“You get what you pay for...but it's not horrible”

My husband and I stayed here for a rest stop during our move to California...rooms were budget friendly and they accommodated our pets well. The breakfast was mildly above average and location was decent. However, the whole hotel reeked of cigarettes...we even joked about the hotel spraying cigarette scent glade throughout the hotel. The rooms were just as bad; they had a strong musky stale odor. Another thing was all there front desk computers were down, making check in and check out a pain. Overall, you get what you pay for. I most likely won't stay there again, but it isn't awful for a night only stay.

“A very nice place to stay.”

I have to say that this is a very nice facility and the staff was very helpful in getting us the right room. We had booked the room through an online discount site. Unbeknownst to us, we were booked in a smoking room (neither my wife nor I smoke). When we arrived to check in, the lady at the front desk advised me of the situation. When I told her that a smoking room was not going to work for us, she was kind enough to find us a non-smoking room. She was also good enough to let me know that often times discount sites often purchase blocks of smoking and handicap access rooms at discount rates so that they can offer rooms at low prices, regardless of your preference.

We will definitely stay here again and our kudos to the staff of this hotel!

“Good, no problems”

We stayed here as it was a pet-friendly hotel (they charge $10 extra for pets). Everything was fair/decent, no problems with anything, everything worked as it should, etc. There are grassy areas outside where you can take a dog. Breakfast was ok, with hot and cold selections. Overall it's a solid place to stay with reasonable rates (ended up paying $70 something including pet fee).
