When I booked the trip I knew not to expect luxury accommodations. The location was awesome, the staff was very friendly but the hotel itself needs a lot of work. We paid $75 with tax a night which isn't much but still left something to be desired for the price

We arrived a little after 1:30 a.m. Our first night we were put in a room with a very loud AC system, so loud it was hard to sleep. Also, we were told value rooms had a view of the bay but our view was mainly the parking lot. The beds weren't very comfortable but the room was clean. I was willing to stay and not complain for both days. The straw that broke the camels back the next morning was that the shower did not have working hot water and the water pressure was non existent. The bath tub was run down, old and stained. It looked worse than anything I imagined. I called the front desk and asked to be moved. She immediately assisted me when I told her the problem. We were put in another room within 15 minutes.

The second room we were put in was much better. The room itself looked in much better condition. The bathtub was not run down, in fact it looked fairly updated. The water pressure and hot water were in excellent working condition and the AC wasn't louder than normal. The bed again was hard but we were able to sleep. We never did get the view of the bay that we were promised but we spent plenty of time at the beach during our stay.

The building itself (lobby & hallways) is hot at all times, I assume in order to keep cost low. Staff was always sweet and pleasant. The parking garage was pretty empty most of the time which made it easy to park in and out of. The continental breakfast was muffins, toast, cereal and orange juice. You must eat it downstairs so we skipped on it all together and went out instead.

We probably won't stay again simply because we can get slightly better accommodations for our $ a little further from the beach.

Just stay here this past weekend 5/27/2012. Booked hotel online, the rooms on the pictures were no what I received. The excuse for us not getting the room that was shown was that the hotel is booked to capacity. We came to the hotel to check it out before a planned trip that we are taking in june. I have already booked and paid for this trip, and I will be canceling this trip at this hotel. The hotel is poorly maintained. We stayed on the eighth floor. The breakfast that they offer was no more than cereal, muffins and milk. They had a small amount of cereal and not enough breakfast for everyone who stayed. There was no bowels for the cereal, so the guess had to use paper cups. One guest complained to the front desk while I was there and the desk clerk, told her what do you expect its free. I will never stay here again.

My husban and I brought our Kids to have some fun in the sun do we ended up getting this hotel because it was close to the beach an it Looked pretty Decent On the website So when we get there it takes Forever to check in And to top it off it looks like the front desk doesnt know what there doing on the computer and Its Hot in the building And smells musty Well we finally check in and get our Room Key I open the door The room is not cleaned It smells really bad My kids And my husband Are already frustrated from waiting So i call the front desk They say I'll send someone up to clean Im like really well we wait another 20 Min or more no one shows up so my Husband Goes down there to TAlk to the front desk Then we wait another 15 min or more but they give us another room that smelled,there was hair in the rest room the carpet was nasty I tried to get my money back to go elsewhere an they Refused to ,the PEople at the front desk were rude The pool was Disgusting cloudy like.... My husband asked the man at the front desk if hey didn't provide Small refrigerators or microwaves He said no and he thought I didn't see him Thru The Reflection Of the glass wen my Husband walked off i seen him shake his Head And kind of rolled his eyes Really childish he acted like we were asking for the impossible every hotel ive stayed at has a mini fridge microwave ext....But anyways I would not Reccomend This hotel at all It's a waste of time and money if this hotel was 20.00 a night I Wouldnt Stay there ...this place Needs some majorrrr Remodeling And a new staff With a little more Respect the owner commented that the staff is always nice to him well uhhh do u really think there gonna b rude to the boss CORPUS CHRISTI BAYFRONT MOTEL IS A JOKE I will never stay there Again ...

in terms of value, this hotel you pretty much get what you pay for... a clean room and not much else. Staff is friendly when approached, but appear far too overworked.

Biggest issue though is the neighborhood and especially the parking garage, definitely nowhere that you would want to be alone at night. other than providing escorts to the parking garage, i am not sure what else the hotel can do.
