Ok i know, my review is a little late in coming but here it is!!
My wife and i stayed at Christy estates suites for our honeymoon and it was PERFECT!!! We stayed in the cavern suite for 5 days and 4 nights and had the best time of our lives together! (so far...) It really looks like a cave complete with its own waterfall and tv in the tub area..not to mention a tv in the bedroom and a BIG screen tv in the full size living room!!!! I know you people...please dont be scared by the other "bad" reviews...yes the complex is older...BUT the rooms are remodeled and are just perfect for a lil get away!!! The HEB store across the way makes it perfect for a chef like myself to prepare a romantic dinner, night after night with all the fresh seafood and all the trimmings!!! Not to mention all the pots,pans and dishes to boot!!!! The front desk was WONDERFUL and very respectful, the grounds were clean...and we felt safe the whole time..matter of fact we booked another night, 2 nights into our stay!!!! We have plans to return to Christys for our 1 year "honeymoon"!!!! Thank you Christy estates and your wonderful staff for making our honeymoon just PERFECT!!! See ya'll in a few months!!!!

I tried to review on hXtels.cXm (you can guess who that is), but their "system" somehow could not publish it. So I booked using the "you know who" web site at a set rate. When I got to Christi Estates, they still insisted on adding $7 more for some obscure unexplainable reason. Their run a pretty cheap ship there, and they can get pretty rude over $7.

But the actual accommodations do not deserve the extra expense. The place had old chocolate carpets and the walls had ants. The real problem was they said they had an internet connect, but that was in the lobby only -- the room had nothing. The lobby connect was only on their PC, so forget about getting your mail unless it's strictly web-based mail.

Bottom line, if you need internet don't stay here. They will tell you they have it, but they just don't understand that a hotel only PC in the lobby just isn't the same thing. Don't let them mislead you to the contrary -- you've been warned.

Traveled to Corpus Christi with Boyfriend and 3yr/ 8yr/ 11yr/ 15yr old children. Arrived at estates in 9AM in the morning after driving all night from DFW. Staff was kind enough to go ahead and let us check in even though check in time wasn't until 3pm. Thank god because we were all quite tired!

They put us in a room in the 200 section when we walked in noticed the carpet was extremely wet. Walking around in the condo water was coming up over shoes in every room.

Picked up the phone called the front desk and advised them. They immediately moved us to a much nicer room and apologized for having to put us in a upstairs room which was (to us) much better anyways.

Kiddos got their own bedroom w/ TV and Cable which they just loved. We had a 2 bed/ 2 bath condo which came in handy. The kids had their own bathroom which made it easier when we came back from the Beach with sand all over everyone.

The Neighborhood was quiet and didnt have any issues. We noticed the security / maintenance personnel walking around the property numerous times.

I would stay at Christy Estates again as it was a nice / relaxing atmosphere to be in with such a large family.

Went with my wife for our 25th anniversary. After reading some reviews I was scared. Got there and it was not far from the freeway. We stayed in the cavern room which was just awesome. Its very spacious and was quite comfortable. The staff was fine and the neighbor hood wasn't the ghetto some people make it out to be. If we go to Corpus again I will stay there.
