Got this hotel last minute on a discount website. Appears to be a newer property, and is well kept. Staff was very friendly, lobby area was nice, and everything in our room was very clean and fresh. We were a little disappointed that there was a charge for the breakfast (just under $10 pp), so we skipped that and had breakfast elsewhere with family. Most hotels in this class tend to include some sort of breakfast, but for the deal we got, we can't complain. Just an FYI if you're looking for a place that includes breakfast, this place does not. But there are numerous cheap "taquerias" all around.
The hotel is set off the main freeway, so freeway noise was not really a problem for us. Everything was very comfortable, and we were pleased with it overall.
We made use of the refrigerator and the microwave in the room, and everything was in operational order and very handy.
One caveat - our bathtub was EXTREMELY slippery. The base of the tub does have a pattern of texture for slip prevention, but it provided no traction, and I had a minor fall. I subsequently requested a rubber bathmat, and two were delivered to our room very promptly. However, even the mats were difficult to get to suction to the tub. My companions and I found that we had to be exceptionally careful taking showers all weekend because of how slick the tub was. We are younger-than-middle-aged folks with no balance problems, so I found the slippery tub issue a bit disconcerting, especially thinking of older folks or those who may have stability issues.
It was almost as if the tub had been cleaned with some sort of polishing type cleaner that left a very slick residue. At any rate, I don't know if the problem was unique to our room, or if it is a cleaning solution issue, or tub design problem. So, just a heads-up to be aware of a potential safety issue.
Other than the caveat, we were very pleased with our stay.
