It was I nice hotel from the out side and have a great lacation but the only thing was the ROOMS were filthy me and my wife work at a comfort suits in San Antonio so we know what clean is... the FLOoR was not vacumed the shower curtain was not changed cause you can smell the filth coming off it. their was hair on the mirror from the dirty rag they were dusting with trying to clean the mirrors. We were switched into a different rooms and that's not including the other room I got for my friend and his wife. Their bed had a blood stain on the sheet not the comfitrr but the sheet and their were no pillow cases on the bed. Other then that we all got switched to a different rooms but other then that we all had a good time.

We stayed in a balcony room, which was well maintained and nicely furnished. The view was great. The hotel staff were very courteous and knowledgable in their recommendations of area restaurants. The free breakfast was decent, but could have had a few more choices. We enjoyed the outdoor spa, but would have been even happier if the pool were also heated. Overall, this hotel is a great value, and we will definitely stay there again.

We picked this hotel for it's closeness to the beach. It is really right across the street and walkable. There is also a nice park right on the beach with picnic tables within a few miles. The hotel was a little older than we expected and had been updated with granite and a fabulous huge shower but some repairs also need to be made (couch was torn, poor repairs made to exterior door, etc.) The bed was very comfortable!
The front desk staffer on duty at check-in on 11-10 in the evening was superb (wish I'd gotten her name). Recommended a wonderful restaurant. Also our maid was very friendly and efficient.
Breakfast was pretty sparce and nothing special.
Be sure to ask for and pay for a room with an ocean view. I don't think the balcony was worth extra. It's pretty small. But waking up to the beautiful ocean in the am is heaven to me.

My family and I were very excited when we arrived at the hotel. The front desk staff were courteous and friendly. I received the room that I requested, a high-floor room with a beach view and an early check-in. The view of the ocean was great considering that the hotel sits across the street from the beach. It's just a short walk across the street to the beach. The hotel has outside showers, so that you can rinse off the sand from a day at the beach. A suggestion, consider moving the shower to another area, perhaps the side of the hotel. Since the wind is blowing directly to the front of the hotel, the shower water is blown all over the place and it makes it a little difficult to rinse off quickly. The pool is small but clean and appealing. We really enjoyed the pool fountain. The breakfast area was very crowded, we had to wait awhile to make our waffles. The lady that was in charge of the breakfast area was so nice and friendly, and did everything to bring some organization to the area. The quality of the breakfast was okay, could be improved by adding fresher fruit and one or two more waffle-makers. The beach was clean and very nice. We had a great time on North Padre Island. I would highly recommend this hotel; rest assured, we will be back soon.
