Checked in and clerk was nice. Went to room only to find we were put in a smoking room and are non smokers. They changed our room from 235 to 125. This room had mold in the bathroom, something sticky and pink on the toilet tank lid and the biggest problem was the toilet wouldn't flush. The clerk came and tried to plunge it but was unsuccessful. Me and my husband plunged while we waited for the manager. While plunging, we noticed the water from the toilet started backing up into the bathtub. Feces was coming out of the bathtub drain. We had not used the restroom for that so it must have been from a previous guest. The manager came in and saw what was happening and moved us to yet another room (#127) two doors down. Once moved, we left to the beach for the night. When we got back, at around 10:15 pm. We showered. The water in the tub was not draining and we were standing in ankle hight water to shower. Then it happened again, the toilet in this room wasn't flushing either. I call the front desk and the manager came and plunged and also brought tools and cleaned out the drain in the bathtub. He removed a good amount of hair from the drain. One last thought, they should use fitted sheets on the mattress. When you get into the beds, the sheet becomes untucked and exposes the mattress. We were offered a 10% discount upon checkout and the manager was very nice, but this was not a good experience and we will not choose a Best Western Again.
