We went to Corpus Christi, September 3-5 2011 to be married and spend our honeymoon. :) Luckily for us found a great deal at the Extended Stay through Hotel.com. It only cost us around $60 a night. So definitely a good place for couples on a budget. Now if your expecting the Hilton, then this place isn't for you. However we found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful. The location is great especially if you need to get to island as we needed to. And our room was nice, clean, and spacious. The best way to describe our room is picture a small 1 bedroom loft. Another great thing about Extended Stay is having a full kitchen. Yes a full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, micro-wave, and cabinets. They even had a few plates, glasses, and silverware. Now for us only being there 3 days it's not a big deal, but if you plan on staying in a room for two weeks or more it is especially nice to have kitchen instead of eating out every day.
Now there was only one small bad thing about Extended Stay. You can hear your neighbors from time to time. Nothing major just foot steps and can hear people talk. My husband and I however are used to it since we live in an apartment and the small noise factor did not bother us. But for some people they may not like it. Extended Stay did have some breakfast items, such as fruit, bagels, and muffins but not a contential breakfast buffet. Those are really the only two things that some people may frown upon. For my husband and I though we thought it was a wonderful hotel. We would definitely stay there again next time we go to Corpus Christi.
