Basic hotel with friendly owner. We had a cabin which was worn down but OK. The room had a patio and a small kitchen, a very worn down bathroom, and sleeps up to 5. The quality of the bed was not very high.
It was the only sleeping option left in Ajo however, and this seemed to be the best option for visiting the organ pipe cactus NM (in stead of driving two times 40 mi one-way to Gila Bend).

We enjoyed our stay in Ajo. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The room was a cozy southwestern style. The king bed was very comfortable. The motel is an older motel, but room was very clean. It had a little fridge, microwave, and coffee pot with GOOD COFFEE (not that cheap stuff you get at most motels). There was complimentary muffins for breakfast. The patio was great at night for BBQ and star gazing. The desert scenery was beautiful, outside of town, surrounded by cactus and desert scape. It was a nice and quiet escape from the city. The organ pipe cactus monument was only about a 30 minute drive from the motel. We'll be back.

This is a place for ONE night only, but you will like it probably. The house is really run down, the door of the room is squeaky and the beds ... well ...
The pool which you can read of in their internet-presentation is a dust-hole without water at the time we were there and the highway just 20 yds away. But in the night hardly any cars go by. Border patrol is near ...
Breakfast is one browny and a cup of coffee in the "lobby" (a run-down house, the room probably an extension of the private house of the owners), but the welcome was nice and friendly.
