“nice and peaceful - too many mosquitos though.”

We stayed at the satellite facility (The Lilypad) because the main treesort was full. At first we were disappointed but now I wouldn't have had it any other way. Yes, its dirty, and there are lots of mosquitos, but sleeping way up in the tree, with only canvas roll down windows, was amazing. The only draw back was the toliet in the treehouse, is right next to the bed with only a curtain to pull around you... so you better be comfortable around one another! Also, I didn't care for the outside shower - it was a good shower, but also, just a curtain, and quite aways away from the treehouse - all I could think about were scary movies that involved psychos in the woods... But the owner, Sandy, was a nice lady and a great cook! We would stay again for sure!

Room Tip: Book a year ahead of time.

“Worth a visit, esp. for kids and grandkids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2011

We stayed 1 night on our way to Southern Oregon, and found the Treesort to be a very well-built, clean compound. The tree houses were obviously built with care, expertise, and attention to detail. Many different ones to choose from, so review the descriptions carefully to match your needs! Ours had a loft bedroom (PleasanTree) - not so comfortable climbing up to for a couple of 50+ year olds. Should have picked one with a real bed.

Offseason the place was quieter and not crowded -- no dramas being performed on the charming theater stage, for instance. In the summer, I bet the place is absolutely magical. In the morning, we enjoyed an old fashioned breakfast of fresh eggs and waffles in the main house -- delicious. I have grandkids and would love to bring them here.

We got a tree house with a bathroom; but there's also clean, well built public bathrooms with showers on the grounds.

My only complaint was that, the night we stayed, several teenagers were shrieking and running around the grounds til 1 am or so. No one apparently tried to rein them in or tell them to quiet down. So we didn't get to sleep until late. Things are definitely wilder in the country.

Room Tip: Read tree house descriptions carefully to fit your needs.

“I hate camping and I loved this place”

When my wife told us where we were going on vacation I asked what was wrong with Hawaii. This place was awesome. Great activities for the kids. Not too far from town if you want to drive in and get a pizza. Drove about forty minutes for white water rafting. The best zip lines on site with great guides. Other families were fun to hang out with. Book early as it does fill up. Will go again but prefer a treehouse on the ground. Thirty feet up on a free standing bridge was a little sketchy. There is a rooster that needs to be shot becaue he thinks 5 am is time for everyone to get up.

“Will not be back!”

This place is dirty, noisy, and crowded! It looked like a fun place for kids. Had lots of activities for them to do. Extremely noisy. Didn't get any sleep. The beds are old. The furniture is ripped up. The toilet wouldn't work. The hot water didn't work. The treehouses are neat to see and I am sure kids would love them. If you are looking for a summer camp experience with your kids then you would probably like it. We also went to the other treehouse place which was a completely different peaceful, clean, and wonderful experience. For a wild, noisy treehouse experience if you don't mind dirt and lack of comfort then come here. If you want peaceful and spotlessly clean beautifully built treehouses go to the other place.

“Will return for the ziplines, Tarzan swing and horseback rides... Not so much for the rooms.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 April 2011

We are glad we experienced staying in the treehouses but the outdoor activities were much more fun. There is a kids sized free zipline which the little ones (6-11 yrs old) in our group loved to play on along with the many rope swings and climbing net.

We paid for an hour long horseback ride, another hit with the kids. We also did the Tarzan swing, WHAT A RUSH! None of us had any of the problems mentioned in prior reviews. Being pulled 50' in the air was easy and letting go to swing was awesome!

We will come back for the activities, not the rooms... Although we did get a huge, delicious hot breakfast with the room, it was really great.

Overall it was FUN, FUN, FUN!
