It's a relatively inexpensive hotel situated in downtown. If you are having a meeting or attending meetings in the Salt Palace, this would be the cheaper option. It's about a 15 minutes walk to Salt Palace.

There are many reasons I wouldn't stay here again. We chose this hotel for it's location and price but the hotel is run down and dirty. The room was cleaner than the lobby and hallway but we were short on towels and our large window didn't lock or even have a screen (and we were on the ground floor). When we went to the front desk to get more towels, there was nobody there and we waited at least 15 minutes for the front desk clerk to return (and finish his personal cell phone conversation). Hotel was also noisy. Lastly, don't count on much of a breskfast (muffins, toast, and cereal).

We stayed at the Rodeway Inn for two nights in June 2011. We originally only booked 1 night as part of a west coast road trip, but ended up in SLC a day early. We had pre-booked our one night but the hotel staff were happy to extend this to the two nights for us with no hassle.

The rooms were great - clean, spacious with all the amenities needed. We did not use the pool so can not comment on this. Parking was easy to find and free. The hotel was within walking distance to a number of tourist areas - we visited the Morman Church area and the shopping centres!

Very cheap hotel apparently trying to squeeze last revenue prior to collapse. No longer provides services advertised -- and seems to have no intention of doing so. Provides false/misleading answers to guests, effectively destroying any repeat business. On its last legs. Not recommended.
