I stayed here for two nights while on a business trip. The hotel was centrally located and the staff was extremely helpful. Upon initial booking, I accidentally input some erroneous information, so emailed the hotel asking for help. Jeff B. not only helped me fix my booking, he went above and beyond to help me out and make sure I had a great stay. When I checked in, Jeff also gave me some great recommendations on activities to do in my downtime. For example, just west of the hotel, there is a nice walking path that runs along the river. If you are an outdoor lover (like me) it's a nice way to explore the area on foot.
The hotel is within close walking distance of several fast-food type places - Denny's, Subway, Wendy's Burger King, and McDonald's. I stayed in one of the hot-tub rooms, which is HIGHLY recommended if you plan to visit the ski slopes at all. Before the "business" part of the trip started, I went snowboarding at Solitude. Being somewhat of an amateur, I spent most of my time tumbling down the mountain like a one-woman avalanche and was sore by the time I got to the hotel room. The hot tub was a godsend, words cannot describe how wonderful it was!!
Beds are comfy, Tempurpedic-type mattress. One of the best nights sleep I've ever had in a hotel. Free hot breakfast (gotta love their cinnamon rolls). Also free cookies about 5:00 PM each evening. YUM!! This is a wonderful hotel with a great staff. I highly recommend for a stay in Salt Lake City.
