Stayed for a sporting event. Service was excellent. Room was clean, quiet, and roomy. The maids started a little early the next morning vacuuming but the breakfast was fabulous! Will stay again.

Emergency trip to SLC for family crisis. Stayed at Royal Gardens and will stay there again, only next time for pleasure. Very friendly staff, prompt attention to requests, clean rooms, comfortable beds, Our only problem was an unhappy baby in the room next door.

Stayed at hotel for 3 nights for business trip. If your looking for luxury wouldn't recommend you stay here, but if you want a clean room for a good price this is your place. Although our room was a bit dated and could have used a little caulking in bathroom, it was very clean (including carpet!). Everything in room was in good working condition, and although water pressure good, the low flow shower head was a little too low flow. Area seems pretty good. Never felt unsafe although we returned to our room after dark a couple of nights. They have shuttle service to & from airport and are within walking distance to salt lake palace. Free breakfast in morning. Not a hugh variety but have sausage, eggs, hashbrowns, etc all hot and fresh and area kept nice and clean. Free internet in rooms worked pretty good. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here on night on a tour. I guess it depends where you are in this hotel as to whether it is ok or not, our room was facing the main road so it was noisy through the night. The room itself was ok, beds were comfortable and the buffet breakfast was included although a very poor fresh fruit selection.
There is a free train to the down town (for food) a couple of blocks away and yes there are a few undesirables around but not much to worry about.
Can't say I liked what I saw of this city and if I had to stay longer I would have asked for a room change.
