We were given two 2nd floor rooms in a hotel with neither an elevator nor a bell hop to help with our skis, boots, & baggage. If we hadn't been given alternative rooms on the first floor, we'd probably have left. One of the non-smoking rooms we got reeked of smoke; how did housekeeping not notice? One of the two rooms we finally settled in had no shower curtain. The other had a curtain, but it had a hole. And there was no soap in the bathroom and only one wash cloth. The complementary tea had only one tea bag (the decaf one), because apparently a previous guest had used the other. The rug in the hall was badly torn. Probably the shabbiest hotel I've stayed in in years. The two public computers in a small room off the main hall were always in use whenever I went by; couldn't even try to print a boarding pass. The only pluses were the pleasantness of the person at the front desk at night, who was alone and could have used additional help, and a respectable, reasonably-priced breakfast.
