“Okay stay.”

Went to Utah for a Jazz game on a budget. You do get what you pay for. A no frills stay place to rest your head. The price was very reasonable and was about a 10 minute walk to Energy Solutions to see the game. Clean, pleasant staff, and free breakfast were a plus. The minus, very noisy refrigerator that we unplugged, heater worked but was hard to control, and there is no hair dryer in the room. In the freezing cold, who wants to have wet hair? I always assumed it was something in every hotel. Nope, not this one! I looked and it wasn't listed as an amenity. Would have been nice to have one only because having wet hair in the middle of a freezing cold winter is not good! I would stay there again because of the value, but the fact they don't offer a hair dryer that was necessary in the freezing weather was annoying.

“One of the nicer Econo Lodge hotels, good size room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2010

This was one of the nicer Econo Lodge hotels that we've stayed at. The room was a good size and clean. Unfortunately, the toilet did not flush well. There is laundry on site, but there is a large, nice laundromat down the road. Great price for a one night stay in the middle of a long road trip.

“Gross”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2010

We stayed here for one night while awaiting a flight out of Salt Lake City the next morning. We checked in at night and the crowd in and around the lobby was rough, at best. The room was dirty and smelly, the bed cover was old and stained, the carpet was stained, the television did not work at all, and the bathroom sinks both had faucets from the 1970s that were nearly inoperable. The air conditioner worked, but was very loud. The desk clerk was pleasant, but who cares when a place is this gross?

“Slept well, room was clean, got in - slept - got out”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2009

It is a $52.00 motel room(for 2 including tax) , you get what you expect. A clean no frills room , clean bathroom, coffeemaker, fridge microwave and shared laundry facilities in the building. If you don't want to drive around for hours hunting for a hidden gem that has that extra cookie next to the coffeemaker for the same price then this will do. We picked Econolodge as we can get choices hotel points and since this was just a stopover town for us (to spin some doughnuts on the salt flats) we didn't worry about getting a room with view

Checkin took a few minutes longer as the computer could not find our hotel points number but she was very friendly.

Free wifi, used the laundry facility and the machines were clean and working. (1.50 for 40 min wash, 1.50 for 60 min dry)

“they made a key for someone else while I was staying in the room!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2009

I was staying by myself for 5 nights while my husband was having surgery at the VA. I was up early and in my PJ's when a lady (not an employee) let herself into my room! She showed me her key envelope with my room number on it. After she left to get her own room again, I called the office and when the girl answered, I told her what happened. Not only did she not apologize, but she blamed it on the computer. Not happy and pretty spooked, I got dressed and went down to see the manager. The manager did apologize, but she really didn't understand the problem, offering to have me change rooms! I explained to her that changing rooms wouldn't solve any problem... Anyhow, that was it. She could have offered to comp my room , even though that would not solve the problem, she would probably be more apt to make corrections if it cost her something. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were pretty clean, old, but okay for the price. The high speed internet advertised is not a secure network and the continental breakfast is a joke. I could deal with all of that, but compromising a customer's safety? How do you fix that except through training and replacing the untrainable or uncaring?
