Have wanted to review this since staying there last July and was remiss in not applauding what a great job in service this hotel does. Traveling beteen San Diego and SLC for 2 weeks, booked at HGI on West 600 South for the weekend inbetween. The staff went out of their way to be friendly, concerned, and professional. Many small tidbits were done to make me feel that I was not just another room booked. They truly know the art of service and deserve their "Connie"Awards as Hotel of the year. Rooms are clean, room service and food in restaurant is great. Front desk staff go out of their way - at least that was my experience. The location is great - walking distance easily to many restaurants - service to airport, nice lobby for relaxing with your laptop. My compliments to the staff.

If you've stayed in one HGI, you've stayed in them all. They are nicely cloned experiences, allowing you to feel at home wherever you go.

But this one-- awesome. First, the service here is always impeccable. The friendliest people anywhere work in this hotel.

Second, the restaurant has an extensive menu of wonderful choices that are always well prepared. This kitchen goes above and beyond.

Finally, get a jacuzzi suite. It was only $10 more-- but so worth it!! I had never been in one before. The hot tub in the master bedroom was great. And the oversize shower in the bathroom was a treat. The sitting area and work spaces were very comfortable and well equipped.

I strongly recommend this hotel. This was my fourth stay.

PS. Don't miss the fresh cookies on the counter around 5pm!

Stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for the first time after three years and it's still great. Same excellent management across everything. New super-comfortable beds and the breakfast is a little better than it was a few years ago with a few additional choices. Everything else in previous reviews stands.

The staff at this hotel are among the friendliest and most accommodating workers my husband and I have ever encountered. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Check in was prompt and the room was very clean and quiet. We had a jacuzzi tub in the bedroom, and a separate sitting room with a television, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot.

It is a newly constructed hotel conveniently located within walking distance to many nearby restaurants and businesses in downtown Salt Lake City. There is plenty of free parking available on the hotel property. The entire hotel is smoke free.

The onsite resaturant is open for breakfast and dinner. In addition to dining in the restaurant the entire dinner menu is available for take out or for room service delivery. Although breakfast is not included in the price of the hotel stay, don't let that stop you from enjoying the made to order selections in addition to the continental buffet. It was well worth the price. The dinner menu offers a variety of reasonably priced American cuisine. Service in the restaurant is efficient and the wait staff is cheerful.

There is an indoor pool, small gym, and coin-operated laundry room located on the first floor of the hotel. These areas were immaculate and well-maintained. The gym was so clean that it didn't even smell!

The room was quiet and the staff kept things very tidy. The shower has excellent water pressure which is a rare quality in many hotels.

Salt Lake City is a beautiful place to visit for business or vacation, but we would return just to stay in this hotel.
