I wasn't sure that this place was a good choice when I booked it as it had alot of mixed reviews. It was way better than I expected - we had a full size apartment for 53 bucks a night!! Very safe neighborhood and all the food and shopping you could ask for within walking distance. There is a very nice park about a half mile away that has a running path along the river. The rooms are clean and the bed is so comforable!!!! I'm not sure what the problem is with the staff being rude, there's one person in the office to check you in and there's no room service or maid service. I went to the office for coffee maker packets and they were very nice. It's a fully stocked apartment so you really don't need "staff" anyway. I will stay here again. Try Moochies for a cheese steak!! UNBELIEVABLE !!!

This place is excellent in all categories. It is incredibly clean, spacious, chic, and a fabulous value. I was shocked to read others' critical reviews of the staff. The employees that I encountered were overtly and, more importantly, genuinely friendly and outgoing. If you're considering a stay here, don't take heed of the critical assessments. Note the dates of the postings and understand that the negative reviews are significantly outdated.

I found the staff to be very rude. They will find a way to charge you for some type of fee. They force you to buy there debit card to wash your clothing on their facility. If you have any money left when you leave they will keep the card and threaten to send you to collections if you keep the card that you paid for that has cash remaining on it. Also, make sure you take pictures of everything upon moving in, because they will find something to charge you for if you can't produce pictures. Whether deciding to stay for a day, week or year, I highly recommend finding somewhere else. There are plenty of well priced places with much better service. I would absolutely not recommend SpringHill suites to anyone.

2nd time I've stayed here, couldn't be happier! Has to be the best deal in slc for a one-bedroom suite with full kitchen and large flat screen in living room. Since last stay they've replaced the towels and bedding sheets, and now they're much nicer and 100% cotton, nice duvet on bed, too. Excellent location next to 215 - the loop highway that brings you to all the ski areas or downtown, airport, etc. One thing you should know is that it's not a "hotel" with daily services, they only change the sheets, towels, etc once a week, so you have to make your own bed, and tidy up, but there's plenty of towels so you don't need replacements. You can get easy food delivery from the "Salt Lake Waiter" delivery service from around 12 restaurants, takes an hour for delivery, comes in handy and you can order on line or call them. Across the street is a Starbucks and a huge mall with a lot of selections, Applebee's and usual fast food, so that's handy, too. The front office is helpful when needed, for example, I FedEx'd my luggage home and they arranged pick up. I paid $45 a nite with an Expedia deal, a great bargain and I'll do it again! :)
