Quality Inn, SLC Airport, is an adequate place for a quick overnight between flights. It has an airport shuttle which, for us, was handled by an efficient apparently contracted shuttle service despite their own signed van sitting idle at the hotel entrance. The check-in and -out were quick and efficient. The hotel itself appears older and needs updating. The second floor room (no elevator, for those, like us, with heavy wheeled luggage) had a worn carpeting and bedspread. The pillows either had been moved from a smoking room to our non-smoking room, or smoking had recently been allowed in the room; in either event there was the smell of smoke. The door took a little shoulder pressure to open from the outside. The sheets were a little threadbare, with the fitted bottom sheet having shrunk to where it no longer would stay on the bed. The beds were soft and obviously the product of too many years of use. The room was otherwise clean. There were only two lamps in the room, neither of which was controlled by a switch at the door, so that we had to fumble around in the dark before we could turn either on. The room was warm enough, even after we turned the heater off because of its odor. The breakfast inluded was adequate, with a couple of hot entrees as well as the usual Choice Hotel staples. All in all, the hotel served its purpose, but we probably would stay elsewhere next time.
