Not the cleanest place in the city, but it is willing to take pets (however there is a fee). Moderately clean and inexpensive. We stayed here for a couple of days, probably wouldn't stay longer. Location is excellent as you are in a neighborhood.

Unless you don't care about stains on your sheets, bedspreads that haven't been washed, towels that are dirty, carpets that you would not walk in you bare feet, showers that fill with grey water and no room service, no fresh (dirty) towels brought to your room and nobody at the front desk that gives a damn about the crappy conditions or service at Homestead. I'm a college parent and plan to travel to SLC for the next 4 years but Homestead won't ever get my business again.

The stay at Homestead was above average considering the price we paid for it.

The room, bathroom and kitchen were generally clean and the service was awesome! The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. She came down to our room to provide us with towels when we asked for it. (contrasting this to other similar inns that we have stayed whereby you have to bring the towels down to the receptionist)

Despite the flat fee of $5 to pay for using the wifi (regardless of the number of nights), we enjoyed the 2 nights that we spent at the inn! I would definitely go back if i visit Salt lake city again!

When we checked in the desk clerk asked if we wanted shampoo. What's that about? There was one tiny bar of soap in the room. We have traveled, on a budget, to europe and not stayed in this poor of a property. The first thing we saw when we went out for some air was a drug deal right behind the hotel, so not such a great neighborhood! The entire place was dirty. The elevator smelled bad, there was no mattress pad on the bed and the room was less than sanitary. The good news is our car was not broken into and we only had one night.
