“Love the Inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2008

I am the best complainer ever but after staying at this inn, I found nothing to complain about. Though, it's not a 5 star hotel and I did not expect that for a hotel this size. I was treated kindly by the staff and had a free shuttle ride from and to the airport the whole time I stayed at this inn. I am definitely going to stop by again and will recommend this inn to all of my friends!

KEEP IT UP BEST WESTERN!!!!!

SEE YOU NEXT TIME!

“Run Away....Fast”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2008

After staying in a Best Western in West Yellowstone we thought we would give this place a try for our overnight before flying home. My question, who is in charge of this inn, why would Best Western every allow this place to keep it's name? After a long day and a long drive we returned the rental car and went into the airport to call for the advertised shuttle...first clue...this inn was not on theshuttle board with all the other inns, hmmm. I found the number in my cell phone and called them, yes they would be there to pick us up. After over a half hour had passed, when all other hotel shutttles had gone by us, some 2 and 3 times ,I called back to make sure we hadn't been forgotten. The girl said, "I called my driver and he said it would be awhile". When I asked her what awhile meant she said probably about a half hour. When I informed her that we had already waited longer than that she said she would call him again. After 15 more minutes the shuttle came for us, now close to an hour wait in the heat. I recognized the female driver's voice as the one that had talked to me on the phone. She said the driver just got to the airport and asked her to go, great system. When we checked in the desk clerk was beyond rude. ( I think he was also the driver). When we requested to be at the airport at 6:30,he told us when we would be driven. When we got up in the morning we figured out why this had happened. The girl setting up breakfast and checking us out at 5:30 AM was also our shuttle driver. He wanted her to do both and if we went when we wanted to she wouldn't have been there to cover breakfast. The TV had 13 channels, half of which were too snowy, only CNN and a sports channel came in at all and the remote didn't work. The room was hot, AC half worked. The tray with the coffee pot and cups hung over the sink where you washed your hands, so sanitary. I am with the other reviewer, if it is this hotel or the car, pick your car!!!!

“Never again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2008

Stayed for one night in August. The entrance lobby is so small that if 4/5 people come, it will get crowded. The hallways are too dark even in the day time. I think they are trying to save power. Our room, the exhaust fan in the bathroom made terrible noise. When I told the owner about it, he started arguing about it that all fans make noise. I know he wants to save money but this is terrible. We have stayed in lots of Best Westerns, but never again in this one.
I wish I had seen his reviews before booking - a lesson for me and others.

“Avrage Best Western”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2008

Just needed a stop for the night. Fair price for an avarage hotel. Descent food at the restaturant but not a whole lot more then that. Not a memorable stay really.

  • Liked — It was a bed when needed.
  • Disliked — Nothing really exiting about this place.

“Very comfy bed eclipsed by so many issues...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2008

I wish I knew about trip advisor before booking a room at this hotel. Even with some reviews over a year before my stay, some of the same problems persisted... Other issues were simply unacceptable. Ill be as impartial (something every review site needs) as possible.

1. I checked in at around 12:30 midnight, paying $89 + tax via AAA, and there was one girl at the desk who was eager to help. However, a man (I am assuming to be the manager), came and started criticizing her handling of my check-in right in front of me. She accidently reversed the carbon copy of my CC, and he totally went off on her, with no attention to professionalism at all.

2. I requested a non-smoking room, and the room we got smelled of something like cigars and marijuana. I went back to the desk to complain, but the manager insisted the room was "non-smoking" and apparently would not take my word against some sign. He eventually gave me a new room, which the girl who checked me in assisted with.

3. Just like a prior tripadvisor review, the new room I got had blood stains on the sheets. It was a shame too, because the bed and sheets themselves were really comfortable, the type you are used to getting at 4 star hotels.

4. Calling the front desk about the sheets, the same girl went to look for alternate sheets for about a half hour, but at the end couldnt find any, so she offered to take the sheets from the previous room. They were clean, but laced with smoke smell.

I was traveling with my dad, and even though the room was a double, we ended up sharing a bed using the sheets I brought because of the cleanliness issues.

5. The continental breakfast was actually pretty impressive given the context. There WAS meat and eggs, which is nothing im used to from continental breakfasts. But yes, the milk is a jug in a bowl filled with ice. But I went at around 8:30 AM, and the place was still reasonably stocked.

6. There was a curly (!) hair folded within the towels.

At the end, when we checked out, the same manager from last night refused to offer any compensation or even apology. I will be consulting my CC company as soon as I get home. This was beyond unacceptable.

A hotel is about SERVICE more than anything else. Even if everything is at fault, a caring and professional staff will make it right no matter what. I did not receive that attention on this visit, and I do not recommend this hotel to anyone else.

  • Liked — Fast internet (no wireless, bring ethernet!), really comfortable bedding
  • Disliked — Inconsiderate management, major cleanliness issues
