This was our third stay at this hotel and we have always found this property to be clean and well maintained. We stayed two nights in a two bedroom suite with our children and had ample room for our needs. The complimentary breakfast each morning was fresh and had a good variety of items to choose from (better than most other Residence Inn's we have stayed at.) The staff was extremely friendly, accomodating and attentive to our needs. We have found the mattresses to be a little on the firm side in spite of the having of the Marriott Luxury bedding package. This is a great location which is close to the freeway and walking distance to upscale restaurants, The Gateway Mall and Trax light rail.

The Residence Inn City Center is located within walking distance of most major downtown sites such as Temple Square, Jazz BB Arena, Gateway mall and a lot of trendy and chain restaurants. Mass transit is easily accessable. Freeway access is simple so you can hit both Cottonwood Canyons and Park City without much trouble. We had a 2 bedroom suite, a fireplace in the main living room, small balcony and clean kitchen. The price was right. I can't think of a better place to stay in SLC.
Only downside were the beds are pretty hard. Doesn't matter to me but my wife wasn't very happy.
Breakfast in the morning was a very good selection.

We stayed one night in a one bedroom suite. It was very clean and quiet. Free covered parking in a secure garage. It is close to Gateway mall and several restaurants.Several choices at the free breakfast (eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, waffles, yogurt, cereal, fruit, etc.). We would stay again.

Smooth check-in, no issues with our Travel Industry rate even though I had forgotten my ID hundreds of miles away at home. Simple room, nice kitchen and had a balcony as well. Plenty of room for my husband, myself and our little guy with his port-a-crib that we bring along. Good location for restaurabts and general walking round and sight seeing. FYI - The park across the street appears to be some sort of staging location for the local homeless. Come 9:30'we were going to take showers until we realized the hot water didn't ever appear. Called down to the front and e man sent up the maintenance person. He poked around at the water heater there in the closet and then went to get another maintenance man. After all was said and done, they couldn't get the hot water on and reported such to the front desk. They offered us the option to move rooms. I requested a key to a nearby room for shower usage instead of packing up and moving at 10pm (due to the little guy). They didn't have a problem with that and gave us a key to the room right next door. Aside from the hot water issue everything else was nice, including the comfy bed and the breakfast offerings were probably the best of the trip. The ladies in the breakfast room noticed we were feeding the little guy first and continued to offer us assistance with getting a coffee or anything for us to eat. They also didn't rush us out of the room even though it was 10 mins after the close of breakfast.
