“Cheap and relatively clean but rooms need serious update”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2011

Very affordable inn with easy parking and great free breakfast. Nice lobby but rooms are in need of new carpet. Bathroom was a little mildewy. Also there was only 1 small light in bathroom. Heater was also very finicky and we couldnt figure out how to keep it at a comfortable temperature. Beds were a little soft and therefore not the most comfortable. But again, I wasn't expecting too much for the price we paid.

“Great comfortable place”

We stayed at the Pavilion for three nights. I was great. The room though a little plain was very comfortable with a very comfortable bed. The pillows were small, but they had extra large ones in the closet. The swimming pool was open 24 hrs and being indoor the water was comfortable. The breakfast included was tasty, thought not extensive. They did have something for everyone. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will stay again in the future. We recommend the Hotel to anyone looking for a reasonble hotel with comfortable beds. I have to give my thanks to the staff who were very friendly and helpful during out stay. It is the first place I have ever stayed at that promised free wi-fi that had one that actually worked the entire time we were there. Thanks Pavalion, Job well done.

“Awesome place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 March 2010

We spent 3 months travelling in the US and this was the best hotel we stayed in the price range of $80-$100 a night. Large room with comfy bed, free cookies at night and a wonderful breakfast in the morning. It is close to the freeway but the room was very quiet. Staff was very helpful.

“needs renovations”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2009

On the plus side, the room was clean, the lobby nice and they had free internet and a hot breakfast. The area seemed safe and the hotel accepted pets with a minimal fee.

On the minus side, the room needs a lot of updating. Everything was old and bare bones. For travelers with a pet, walking through the lobby to get to the rooms is not the best set up. Also, the hot breakfast had dishes on the opposite end of the room from the buffet, which made it a pain to push through the crowded tables to reach them. The eggs weren't eggs. They were tasteless I don't know whats and the bacon was so thin I needed a magnifying glass to find it. It's nice to offer breakfast, but make it edible please.

Since Salt Lake City has more bad areas than good in regards to hotel locations, we will stay at this hotel again in the future if traveling through. Clean and in a safe area are very important to us. I just wish they'd update the rooms and serve real food.

“Good value, clean, no frills”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2009

Stayed there twice while passing through the city. The rates are great, and you get a clean, comfortable room with no frills. The decoration of the room is dated and fairly plain. The bathroom is plain white and the tub/shower combo wall is a liner. The newest thing in the room is the flat screen TV. There is a fridge in the room. My biggest complaint is that the pillows are small and very very uncomfortable because they flatten out immediately. Thankfully I brought my own.
Another complaint is the breakfast (included in the rate) is rather nasty. They provided scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, pastries, biscuits and gravy, canned fruits, cereal, yoguart and coffee. Stick to the cereal, yoguart and juice. The coffee was not the greatest and the scrambled egg tasted gross. But it is included in the room price so you can't complain too much. If you are staying there long-term, I think you'll get tired of the breakfast after the first time and would rather eat McDonalds.
There's 2 computers with internet access and a printer for you to use at no charge.
There's 24 hour unlimited ice tea, coffee, and ice water for you to enjoy in the lobby.
The lobby area is nice with leather couches for you to hang out.
Even though it is close to the freeway, we couldn't hear anything.
