“They CANCELLED our reservation!!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2010

We made reservations over the phone on a Monday morning, and told the management we would be showing up late on Saturday night. We got off the ferry from Victoria, BC around 9:30pm, exhausted after a long day. We tried to check in, and the kid behind the counter told us to wait until his mom returned. Waited 10 minutes for her to show up, only to be told that someone with a similar name had canceled our reservation that morning. Requests for more information were met with misunderstanding (her English was very poor) and complaints about how busy they had been all day. She apologized profusely, made a few calls to other hotels, but offered no other solution than to keep moving down the road. The next available hotel room was over an hour away. Either these new managers of this hotel are completely incompetent, or we got scammed big time.

“Decent Place to Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 July 2010

I spent four nights at the Motel. The place was clean and towels and sheets were changed daily if you did not request other wise. The complimentary water and continental breakfast were adequate. There was plenty of food. I was in Port Angeles to visit the National Park, so the fact I did not have a great view or a pool was of no concern. I bargained for the rate and got my room for$49 per night.

“never again!!!!!!!!”

Have been staying at this property for years, the place has changed hands, and the new owners are very rude, could care less that you are a return customer. Rooms were dirty, no pool anymore. Ice machine broken. looks to be a flop house with people living in the rooms. Thay also have jacked up the rates from what they used to be. Best part of this trip, was that I found a new place to stay where they will appreciate my business.

“Great time in the northwest”

My wife and I stayed here in early September and had a great time. We had stayed there for 3 nights. The motel is an older motel, but kept in very good condition. The staff was friendly and the front desk was extremely helpful. They certainly went out of their way to make us feel at home. We had asked for extra towels and pillows, and it was brought to our room immediately. The room was clean and very comfortable, GREAT beds. Our room had a microwave and fridge, which was a nice touch. There is a good continental breakfast, better than some other motels we have stayed at. Their suggestion to a few of the local restaurants, and their knowledge of the area, including the National park was a big help. After our stay was over, we spent the night in Victoria B.C. The Flagstone suggested we leave the car in their parking lot while we were in Victoria. That was a huge help to us. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

“A safe port in a storm.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2007

Outside appearance would turn you away but it is being refurbished, I hope. New managers were very nice & as this was the last place in town with a room, we took it. It was overpriced, but, see "last room in town". There are nicer places, to be sure, but it served the purpose. Plan ahead for Port Angeles.
