I selected this hotel because of its location to a meeting that my son had to be in the next day. This is my second time in the hotel. I will be honest and say that when I stayed in the hotel last February, I came to the same conclusion but did find that the room last February was better than my stay last night--the hotel is older and in need of much repair in the rooms. However, I have to separate cleanliness from aged hotel. The room I stayed in last night was clearly dated and in need of several updates. What ever you can think of in regards to updates could be done at this hotel. However, I found the room clean. They display the Ga. Health rating in the counter area of the hotel.

We arrived about midnight or about this time and last February and we left at around 8AM the next morning in order for my son to make an appointment. Would I want to come here and vacation, no. However, for what I needed, an inexpensive , clean hotel, it met my standards. I was in the room let's say midnight, checked the room and the bed for cleanliness, got ready for bed and to be honest, I was extremely tired and asleep by 12:20 AM according to my son. I woke up at 7 AM when my alarm went off, got a bagel for breakfast and we were gone by about 8:15 AM.

So take it for what it is worth--hotel in need of many repairs, inexpensive with a 100% health rating for the state of Georgia. Again, not a vacation place but clearly ok for stop overs.

I read all the reviews before I stopped here and a big part of me didn't after reading them. So glad I did room was nice and clean, breakfast was on time. and resturants right down the street. I know we all have had bad experience in hotels yet all need a secound chance, and yes when ever I'm inside the macon area this is where I will stay.

This motel was one of many hotels we stayed in on our roadtrip from South Florida to Western Colorado. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in - the area did not look very safe, the room was disgustingly dirty, and the bathroom was gross and filthy to say the least. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the airconditioning barely worked. The worst of it all was the bathroom - I could not believe that this was a big-chain motel. There was hair and dust everywhere and the tub was slimy and rusty. I had to wear my flip flops during my shower. I know this next statement will seem ridiculous but there was even a dead (presumably) bat outside the door of our room. This motel was just so bad - there is absolutely no reason for you to stay here. The little bit of extra money to stay in the other hotels off of Riverside Drive is well worth it. Do NOT even think or contemplate about staying here. Stay in the hotels just north of this one - there were a bunch off of the Riverside Drive and Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. I feel so strongly about this hotel that I'll be more than happy to answer any questions for any viewers.

we are 3 friends coming from France, and we're on a road trip from Massachusetts to Florida, when we needed a hotel for the night in the area of Macon. we saw Econo lodge on the coupon hotel book for 39$ a night. when we came there, they said the 39$ were only for a single room (which wasn't written on the coupon), but they gave us a little discount and gave us the room for 47$ (53$ with tax) instead of 50$. we paid for the room at 7 pm and went right away to a restaurant nearby to have dinner. when we came back, my friends took a shower, and when it came to my turn, i almost dried myself with a towel from the hotel with *** on it (I'm not allowed to write the word on that site, but i think you can also say that someone dried himself just after doing a poo)! we immediately looked at the rest of the room a little bit closer, and it was all dirty : the bed sheets were yellow, with cigarette burns on it, there were empty bottles under the bed, the toilet was just disgusting... when we went to the office to complain about the dirty towel, they said we had only 10 min after checking in to complain about the room...we asked for our money back, but they said it's not possible, and accused us to have put the ** on the towel on purpose! at that time, i got really nervous, and they said we should leave right now. but when i tried to get the dirty towel back (I gave it to the manager to show him), and said i would call the police, they said that the only thing they could do was to give us a new room. as it already was 1am, and we were really tired, we accepted... but we didn't know we would have a new surprise : the Air conditioning didn't work, and the room was at more than 100 degrees !!! i don't think we will be able to sleep with this heat, and at this time we still don't know what we're going to do... this is going to be the worst night we ever had !
