The night time housemen in macon ga hotel stays on internet all night, walks around on cell phone, and is very rude when ask him for extra blankets at two am..but its his job and we never usually need things but that once...everytime we stay he sits at the computer or on cell phone all nite..other staff was very helpful and rooms were average.

I stayed there one night and there were people with us that stayed one night in a room down the hall.

The staff at check in were pleasant and efficient.
The room was a normal older Courtyard room, but the bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked and it was in an okay condition.

Yes, the internet was "wired" not "wireless. However, I hooked up my travel router and it became "wireless" for us in pretty short order.

The hotel smelled clean, so maybe it did get cleaned out after some of the reviews here.

We didn't have breakfast.

- The coffee in the evening had grounds in it.
-The room was near a train track, we heard train whistles all night. Didn't cause any grief.
- There was honking of the type when people lock their cars several times during the night. I speculated that it was employees...but maybe not.
-There was an idiot that drove up and down the main road a few times with his stereo blaring full tilt. Maybe get a room facing the highway instead.

I would stay at this hotel again, it had what I expected.

I don't know why people complain when breakfast is charged for at a Courtyard. This is not a chain that offers a "free" breakfast. Don't give a bad review when a hotel does only what they are supposed to do.

Maybe water damage, large part of third floor smelly and unused. Bed uncomfortable. Morning buffet - looked free, but cost a lot. NOT A MARRIOT!!!

It is not non-smoking, as advertised. While our room wasn't smoky smelling, others nearby reaked.

We were in town for a junior tennis tournament. I (along with several other guests) called down and asked what time the (not-free) breakfast would be out. I was told 7am. After explaining that all these players would need to eat before that, I was told bagels, cereal, etc., would be out by 6am. I (along with several other guests) were down by 6:30, and the lady running the breakfast line said she did not know anything about it or why the front desk would tell us that. She said in a chair the whole time.

There was a dead roach on our floor when we came in one afternoon.

Upon checkout, I was unable to get a receipt because the printer at the desk didn't work. I was told it would be emailed to me. Two days later, still no email receipt, so I called to check on it. I was then told that they could not email a receipt.

Clearly, the need for better communication among the staff members exists.

I have stayed at Marriott Courtyards many times before. This one is not up to standards, in my opinion. There is a Holiday Inn Express less than a half mile away that is much newer, much cleaner, and a better value for the money.
