Clean and comfortable chalet. Nice added touches like biscuites and lollies. Warm fireplace at a touch of a button. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountain range. 6 km to lake matheson. Added bonus hiring bikes and complimentry wifi. Easy walk to all the village shops.

Visited Fox Glacier end of May with group of 8, we were looking for affordable stay, but later decided to pay extra for a better night sleep. We do not regret doing so, because it was the most beautiful room we had for our entire trip in NZ.

We booked total of 4 rooms, and each of the are uniquely decorated. The bed was good and the electric blanket is functioning properly (Some places I stayed gave me faulty electric blanket). We traveled with children, so the most important thing was it was enough to keep the children warm during winter. The rooms were very clean and we were welcomed by candies placed next to our bed.

The kitchen was well equipped with the utensils, and the breakfast (inclusive) were luxury. Freshly bake breads with choices of jams, juices and etc.

Deborah was very helpful, friendly and informative, she helped us with the helicopter booking, but too bed the weather was not good so we have to forgo it.

If I were to visit Fox Glacier again, I will definitely book this Lodge again, because it was such a wonderful place to stay.

Recommend for couple, family, or even solo.

This has to be the #1 accommodation out of the 9 we've stayed during our 2 weeks road trip!
We stayed in 2 lodges next to each other. Rooms came with kitchenette, jaccuzzi bath and stairs up to 1 queen and 1 single bed room. Room was very clean and spacious and we cooked ourselves a sumptious dinner to end the day.
Deborah was lovely and friendly and great for chats. Opposite our lodge was the common laundry facilities ($2 per wash and $2/hr for dryer).
Excellent stay and would recommend to everyone who is at Fox Glacier!

Perfect for a couple or family with 1 or 2 children. Easy to walk into town for food and activities. Very helpful staff. AMAZING bathtub. Loved the fireplace.
