We have just returned after a week at Mobys and have already rebooked for another (longer) visit next year. Our kids loved the pool, the freedom to ride their bikes around the resort (our 4yo mastered her two wheeler bike on the second day), plenty of kids the same age and so did we, because their happiness and enjoyment meant we could relax ourselves.
The large pool is an ideal windy weather alternative to the beach, which was sandcastles only for a few days of high seas (even normally peaceful Elizabeth Beach fired up).
Our two bed/two bath house was compact, (not luxurious but very comfortable) and perfect for our needs (family of 5) with an especially inviting shady deck just asking for drinks and nibbles to be enjoyed upon it each afternoon at 5.
Some houses did not enjoy such a pleasant outlook, looking over the road and other houses. Others, we noted were completely private, so it's a bit luck of the draw.
The bar/coffee shop were a bit hit and miss, with pastries and cakes available for morning tea some days and not others and the bar missing out on late afternoon beer revenue by staying firmly closed until the restaurant opened.
The restaurant was busy every night, the food was delicious and kids were well catered for. The front desk staff were excellent.
Ideally located closed to beaches, including patrolled Elizabeth beach, local shops, several beautiful lakes, Forster and the renown Pacific Palms 'Recky Club', Mobys provided this family with a much needed holiday and sent us back to Sydney fully refreshed and full of energy.
