We stayed at the Four Seasons in Wailea for six nights in October 2011 for our honeymoon. After a rough trip over from Tampa, complete with a flight change and 3 hour delay in Dallas, once we arrived at the Four Seasons, we immediately felt welcome and relaxed. They make a point to go the extra mile, remembering your name, making reservations and recommendations for you - basically catering to your every need before you have to ask. The adult's pool area is great, I only wish it was bigger because the chairs get filled up fast. But, there was always plenty of room at the main pool and the attendants would let us know when chairs became available at the adult's pool. It was also nice to receive complimentary snacks such as otter pops and jello, as well as cold towels as we lounged around the pool. We had a lot planned during our stay, since it was my husband's first time to Maui, and many of the guests don't leave the resort. I kind of wish we had spend more than two days at the resort itself and enjoyed all the amenities. The location of the hotel itself is in the most desired area of Maui and was about 20-45 mins to every adventure we planned. We went next door to the Grand Wailea for the spa, since it had so many great reviews (and it was amazing) but the hotel itself was way too overcrowded with lots and lots of children running around. We were torn between the Grand Wailea and the Four Seasons and after visiting the Grand Wailea, I knew we made the right choice. Spago at the Four Seasons was one of our favorite places for dinner and we had the breakfast buffet as well, which was also good. The bar food wasn't all that great and limited in selection while being overpriced. One of the things we really appreciated was the Aloha Suite on our way out. We took a red-eye flight home, so we checked out in the morning, spending the day at the pool and were able to shower and refresh before our 9 pm flight courtesy of this suite. All in all, we were spoiled and had an amazing stay we won't forget.
