We arrived with no preconceptions about this interlude in our trip. We had spent several nights in the familiar surroundings of Montreal at Jazz fest and were headed for several more nights in Quebec City which we had never visited before. We knew little enough about Trois Rivieres area but wanted to have time to read and Manoir Becancourt seemed the perfect solution. Little did we know how perfect. Little did we know that we would be content to hang out on the property and in the seductive Black and White Suite most of the next three days under warm blue skies let alone eat here each night. But each night we found ourselves drawn back by the food and wine and care of Jasmine and her staff all of which culminated with Nourisse Moi - a delectable evening of course of course from Mario's talented kitchen on the final night and a great 2006 Shafer Merlot that was the perfect complement to the night. If you want a departure from the usual and you appreciate peace and quiet but also like pleasant surprises call Jasmine and Mario and you will be a believer! We'll be back. Tom and Camille
