We stayed at Manoir Becancour on our way back to Toronto from Halifax, where we had moved our daughter. Which is a good thing, because if we had stopped on our way TO Halifax, we probably would have just sent our daughter to the nearest bus station and told her to find her own way while we spent a week enjoying the food and hospitality of this wonderful inn.

I don't know where to start. From the moment we arrived, everything was warm and welcoming - the dining room and common areas are spotless, bright, elegant, and comfortable. The owners and staff are all extremely pleasant and hospitable. There is a wonderful porch/veranda to relax with a book or a drink. The bedrooms and suites are spectacular and the food is exceptional. Our dinner was extraordinary and breakfast - served in the common room - was wonderful.

If you are travelling between Montreal and Quebec, don't miss the opportunity to stay here. The Manoir is a little off the beaten path but WELL WORTH the extra half hour drive. It's unfortunate that the rating system only allows them to be "#1 in Becancour" - I have not doubt they would be among the top three in Quebec, if not in Canada.

This is one bed and breakfest you do not want to miss while visiting Quebec City.
Not only are the owners gracious, you will have some of the best food you have ever
tasted in your life. My husband and are still talking about the food...we will definitely
be back again this year.
