Joe Stone, the owner, is a gracious and interesting host. He knows quite a bit about Natchez and gave us quite a tour of the historic home. Our room was beautifully decorated with antiques and it was roomy , clean and comfortable. Though we stayed in the main house, it was also very quiet. There are diverse antique collections in the house and Joe took the time to answer all of my questions about them. We missed the piano concert but heard from the other couple that it was superb and they thought Joe was quite accomplished. We walked down to the river and then around town, taking pictures of the homes and/or the ironwork. horticulture, etc. Breakfast was very good with juice, biscuits with jam, eggs, ham and grits.

We kept patting ourselves on the back for deciding to stay at Stone House. The master bedroom in the main house was spotless and comfortable. We enjoyed the concert, tour of the home, conversations after breakfast, and sitting on the big front porch. Joseph Stone is a gracious, talented, and helpful host.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage! Mr. Stone is a great host and was very accommodating to our needs. The morning breakfast was delicious and filling. We enjoyed playing billiards each night. Also, Mr. Stone's piano concert was an absolute treat! There are not a lot of evening activities in Natchez, so having a pool hall and piano concert to entertain us in the evening times only added the trip. Because there are only two available rooms, customer service levels are high. The house is full of many family heirlooms and historical facts, and we enjoyed Mr. Stone's guided tour.

this place totally rocked from the get-go! mr. stone was a wonderful host! he was very knowledgable and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. he is also a very talented individual. one of our favorite parts of the stay was the piano recital. we had awesome seats and the show was awesome! and the wine was yummy in the tummy! plus, mr. stone makes one hell of tasty breakfast! we chose to stay in the cottage. it was very quiet and the privacy was a plus (very romantic)! we were able to park right next to the cottage so we weren't parked on the street which is very nice! the antiques were very nice and the cottage was tastefully arranged. The main house is also very beautiful. We enjoyed the tour and history of the house very much. we highly recommend the stone house for your next stay in natchez. we will definitely be back and hopefully soon.
