My husband and I had to be in Natchez for a tournament and so chose to stay at a B&B instead of the casino hotels. What a great choice we made! Neil, the owner, made us feel so welcome. Our room was one of the two on the top floor. Usually, the room has a shared front room and porch, but no one had rented the other room so we had the whole floor to ourselves. The river view was beautiful and everything we needed was provided. Breakfast was served on the front porch each morning. Instead of ringing a abell to announce breakfast, Neil turned on the player piano! The house and gardens are kept well and my husband and I came and went as we wanted. We needed a quiet, relaxing place and this is just what we found.

The inn is an authentically restored Victorian cottage in a lovely garden setting on a bluff high above the Mississippi River. Most of the rooms in the house have a view of the river and its constant parade of barge traffic. Good linens. Small, quiet and convenient to places of interest. Neil Varnell, the innkeeper, is a genial, knowledgeable, slightly quirky but delightful host. Be prepared - the player piano awakens you at 8:30 am with its lively tunes. The breakfast was excellent and was served on fine Victorian china. There are chairs for reading - a must for many B&B aficionados.

We came to Natchez to experience the river and the history. A very kind lady at the Visitor's Center recommended Bluff Top Bed and Breakfast for a B & B with a view. It is absolutely fantastic. You can sit on the porch (upstairs or downstairs) and enjoy. The property is beautiful and Neil is a wonderful host. It is in a quiet neighborhood and with only 3 guest rooms, there won't be any crowds. The rooms are charming and have all the amenities you would need. Breakfast is on the front porch with the beautiful view. We want to go back to Natchez and this is the place I want to stay.
