My room was simple and elegant, not overdecorated or distracting. Large, pretty windows, a comfortable bed with perfect linens, a well-appointed bathroom with really nice soap, compfortable temperature without the roar of an ac unit--all these qualities kept me calm and comfortable so I could be at my best for the conference. The breakfasts were cooked to my food need specificatons, and were so delicious that I miss them today. Mimi's a truly great person, a pleasure to know, as is Mattie, who helps her and who helped me as well. From this b and b you can walk to the river at sunset and have dinner. You can walk anywhere in the downtown area. I loved it at Wensel House.

My family and I went to the Wensel house and had a great experience. The breakfast was delicious every morning, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is central to just about everything. If it hadn't been 85 degrees we would have walked everywhere! We had a great time at the B&B, however our favorite part of the experience was having Mimi to tell us everything about Natchez. We did not ask her a single question to which she did not have an answer (about the houses, the history or general info about Natchez) and she is such an valuable resource! I highly recommend staying at the Wensel house and taking all of Mimi's advice on where to go, you won't be sorry.

Stayed here with my sister and her daughter for 3 nights. We can't say enough about how much our Natchez stay was enhanced by this BB, and our hostess Mimi. The rooms are large and comfortable, bathrooms are roomy, water pressure is great. The breakfast every day was such a pleasant treat, very filling. The coffee was superb. We felt as though we were staying with family, we were treated so well and Mimi is such a fascinating individual and knows so much about Natchez. I felt as if I had been to a history class every day.

We are planning another trip in the future and we will definitely stay here!

This is a wonderful B&B in the heart of Natchez. Three lovely rooms upstairs in the main house, with a delightful, charming cottage in the back. The proprietors, Ron and Mimi, serve up delicious breakfasts in the beautiful dining room. They have maps and directions to wherever you wish to go, i.e., if you're going to Longwood, there's directions; if you're leaving to go to New Orleans, they'll map several different routes (scenic v. quickest). They know all the restaurants, and the history of Natchez. Each of the upstairs rooms has a nice-sized bath; the cottage has a kitchen and two bedrooms plus a living room.
