“Excellent B&B with great location”

Clean, large rooms with huge bathroom. The house is a lovingly restored 19th century Victorian with high ceilings, period furniture and lovely wood floors. The sitting room is a pleasant place to sit and read and sip coffee--or if you'd rather be outside, try the large wrap around porch. Located in the middle of the historic area, easy walk to many mansions and historic sites, the river, the bluff and Under the Hill area and the stop for carriage rides is two blocks away. Ron and Mimi, the owners, are gracious and a wealth of knowledge on city history and urged us to make ourselves at home. The breakfasts were huge and delicious--bacon,sausage, eggs, fruit, pancakes, grits and biscuits. Yum! Three bedrooms in the house and a separate cottage are available. Did not visit the cottage so cannot comment on it.

“We loved this B&B, would love to come back!”

Very charming and comfortable B&B. Excellent breakfast served every morning. Very friendly and informed owner. We were made to feel at home. This was a "girlfriends" weekend of leisure and sightseeing. Our room was very comfortable, very roomy bathroom. Very close to many sightseeing attractions: Rosalie, carriage rides and best frozen Margaritas! Free wi-fi!

My friends and I stayed in the little cottage behind the main house. It was awesome and the cottage was decorated beautifully and proved to be very cozy. The breakfast served in the morning was quite delicious and we had access to the main house at any time if need be. Our host, Mimmie, was charming and was as cordial as it gets. We will definitely be back to Natchez, MS and are planning our visit again next year. You can rest assured that we will be staying at the Wensel House B&B.

“Staying at Wensel House kept me calm and healthy for my Natchez conference.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2010

My room was simple and elegant, not overdecorated or distracting. Large, pretty windows, a comfortable bed with perfect linens, a well-appointed bathroom with really nice soap, compfortable temperature without the roar of an ac unit--all these qualities kept me calm and comfortable so I could be at my best for the conference. The breakfasts were cooked to my food need specificatons, and were so delicious that I miss them today. Mimi's a truly great person, a pleasure to know, as is Mattie, who helps her and who helped me as well. From this b and b you can walk to the river at sunset and have dinner. You can walk anywhere in the downtown area. I loved it at Wensel House.

“A wonderful B&B with a great location!”

My family and I went to the Wensel house and had a great experience. The breakfast was delicious every morning, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is central to just about everything. If it hadn't been 85 degrees we would have walked everywhere! We had a great time at the B&B, however our favorite part of the experience was having Mimi to tell us everything about Natchez. We did not ask her a single question to which she did not have an answer (about the houses, the history or general info about Natchez) and she is such an valuable resource! I highly recommend staying at the Wensel house and taking all of Mimi's advice on where to go, you won't be sorry.
