“Wonderful, historical & quiet!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2010

We found Cedar Grove through petswelcome.com, as we would be travelling with our dog. As we started up the drive, we were both wowed by the beautiful Spanish Moss draped over the property. We, and our four-legged companion, were welcomed by owner, Ron. He was very friendly and knowledgable of Cedar Grove and Natchez. Our room was far above our expectations. And when they say "full southern breakfast," they mean it. It was far better than the prepackaged continental you'll get other places. It even included a nice blend of period music. Ron told us all about the house and it's history. Should we ever find ourselves in Natchez again, we will CERTAINLY be visiting Cedar Grove.

“Fantastic! Very quiet, beautiful and lovely hosts”

We were in for a romantic, quiet weekend in the vicinity of a pretty place like Natchez, but quite keen to be outside of town to enjoy the peace and quiet of rural Mississippi. And we got that all, including wonderfully welcoming hosts and breakfasts that made us skip lunch because we ate so much.

The plantation house is very pretty, and the garden plus surrounding land invites to strolling around or leisurely sitting by the pond feeding fishies. The hosts are definitely an important part of the setting; Ron and Lola are as inviting and kind as you can imagine, and take special care to spoil you at breakfast - besides the usual eggs, bacon, other meats and grits they made a great fresh fruit salad and sugar biscuits to kill for.

The 9 mile drive to Natchez was short and fast enough for us not to be annoyed by it, so we enjoyed the restaurants and some nightlife there, but were always happy looking forward to returning to a noise-free environment for a great night's sleep and - of course - another copulent breakfast the next day

“Serenity, beauty, friendliness, good service, and good food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2009

The grounds are beautiful, and I understand especially in the Spring when all the flowers are in bloom. We had such a wonderful time, we will definitely go back to see it in the Springtime. The staff were great and charming. The breakfasts were delicious and we were serenaded by the owner on banjo. He also took us on an informative tour of the historical grounds.

“I Loved Cedar Grove Plantation”

Cedar Grove Plantation B&B is probably one of the most beautiful plantation homes that I have ever been to. We stayed there for 2 nights during the Mississippi River Hot Air Balloon Race in Natchez, Mississippi and we could not have picked a beautiful place to stay. It's history and beauty will leave you speechless. The owner is a wonderful man by the name of Ron and he will tell you anything that you would love to know about the plantations history. The housekeeper whose name is Lola was so very sweet and she will make sure that you are comfortable and this Lady knows how to cook an AWESOME breakfast every morning that you are there. She is VERY sweet and softspoken. Lola and Ron definitly made our stay a very memorable one and we will return again in the Spring time to watch all of the flowers on the property bloom, I can't wait.

THANK YOU Ron and Lola!
