Stayed here for one night and first room offered had a very smelly bathroom and no balcony although beds were a decent size. Changed rooms to one on 3rd floor with a balcony which had great views of the piste and town and was fairly spacious. When returning from skiing we discovered that the single beds were very small and only just 6ft long but couldn't be bothered to change again just for one night. I would have liked to used the jaccuzzi but not at 15 euros for half an hour. The paintwork was badly chipped in the room and the carpet had holes in it and generally the rooms were very tired looking.
On the good side the hotel looks attractive from the outside, in a very peaceful location, parking is free, it has a ski room, the character of the public areas is nice and you can ski back to the hotel. The breakfast was a very good continental breakfast with a varied choice of bread, croissants, cereal, jams, fruit, 3 types of meat, cheese, boiled eggs, Spanish omelette, yoghurts, juice etc so can't understand the previous review about the breakfast. It didn't offer bacon, sausage and egg but it is a Spanish run hotel in Spain ! The ski hire shop near the hotel was apparently more expensive than hiring in the town at Rio sports where we hired. A free hotel bus goes down to the main square about every hour but does not come back late and it is a long walk back up 4 flights of steps !
At present definitely not 4 star, perhaps 2/3 but could be lovely with an upgrade of the rooms. The deckchairs on the terrace shown in the photo were not there although it was a sunny day ! I would imagine that the lower floor rooms would have their view obstructed by the trees.
