Good location for us - close to bus station. Fairly clean. Microwave and refrigerator worked well. Comfortable bed. Very nice bathroom fixtures. Large room with king bed, small table, couch, desk, 3 desk-like chairs. Front and back doors. There is a nice-sized walk-in closet where we stored our luggage out of site in the room. This is an old place but the price was good for Mill Valley and the owners are fixing it up. Some minor repair was needed - dust ruffle on bed was torn and the front drapery needed to be rehung. A drawer would not stay closed. The breakfast was fruit (apples and bananas), a good hot beverage machine (coffee, hot water, and cocoa), juice (orange and cranberry), a selection of sweet breads (banana-nut and blueberry muffins as well as another pastery), and cold cereals (mostly high sugar-types).
We have stayed here three times for about a week or more each time for locationand price. There are a number of expensive places in Mill Valley, but this is the only budget inn we could locate.

I stayed here one night when down in Mill Valley for a high school reunion. The location at the southern entrance to Mill Valley is very convenient to Mill Valley and the road to Muir Woods. This is an older property, but when I was here, I found it clean and comfortable. I was happy with my room, and found it to be a reasonable choice for travelers on a budget. The breakfast is indeed basic, and there is no breakfast room, but again, this is a budget hotel.

This hotel is more like a trashy apartment complex than a hotel. Our room had a full kitchen that was locked, but unclean, rusty appliances were visible through the breakfast bar. The smoke detector was not operable. A metal furnace was dirty and dented; walls and doors needed paint. We paid $180. The only reason we did not leave after seeing the property and room was because Mill Valley and the surrounding area was fully booked. Avoid this hotel like the plague.

It was a nightmare! This place is a dump! We spent $100 for this horrible horrible place! We couldn't find it and called the owner for directions. She gave us totally wrong directions, no kidding.
It was a dirty miserable place. If we only could, we would have left right away but it was too late and we were so tired, we couldn't move!
