Very nice hotel with large, clean and nicely decorated rooms and a great location near Mt Rushmore and Custer State Park. We found a discount coupon, so we ended up paying only $59 + tax, including an excellent breakfast in a breakfast room which was a bit too small.

We stayed at this hotel on the night of 1 January when most things were shut including all the restaurants in town, but the hotel manager had taken the trouble to phone around and find out which restaurants were open before we arrived (we had dinner in a really good restaurant - the Gaslight at Rockerville). The room itself was as good as any 5 star hotel and this hotel represents the best value we have had in any hotel we have stayed in.

I stayed at this facility in Nov 2011 and I am a nonsmoker!!! I was told the facility was non smoking but yet the end of hall I was at smelled of smoke. I brought this to the attention of front desk that night and next morning, but I guess nothing was noted properly in my account. I just received my Credit card statement and it had an additional $200.00 charge, in addition to the room charge! I called the front desk of this facility at 605-666-4925 and asked the clerk what the $200.00 charge was for. She said it was for smoking damage in the room!!!!! I asked for the fee to be reversed and she stated that a manager must speak with me and that non was available at the hotel today.......what no manager on duty?????? I left my name and phone for a return call. Be very careful when staying here for incorrect additional charges being charged to your credit card. Maybe this is the way this facility tries to make up for the slow, off season at Mt Rushmore area!

The check in staff was nice and helpful. The rooms were nice and WI-FI very fast. The breakfast was great. Very nice place.
