This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Castle Levan. It is such a unique and fantastic experience. I've always wanted to stay in a castle but this far surpassed my expectations. Each time my husband and I have gone we've gone with one other couple. Seeing as there are only 2 rooms this means we had the entire castle booked JUST FOR US! It is such an amazing feeling to roam a castle that truly feels like it belongs to you--for the time being :-) I also love chatting with the two owners! They always have such interesting stories.

Very nicely decorated in a scottish theme, we had the largest four-poster bedroom it was just amazing. The lady of the house was very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was lovely and everything was lovely and relaxed. Lady Lydia even gave us a tour of the other parts of the castle and was very enthusiatic about the history of the castle. Definitely recommend!

We loved that "Master Bettroom", and everything else in allover in castle!
We heard very interesting Storys about the "White Lady", who is still leaving there! But in this one night, she didn´t wanted to be seen!
The location is very good, it was so quiet night without noisy cars!
Breakfast was very good, we could choose in very many different kind of breakfast.
They get 10 points für everything!!! We hope, that one day we can repeat it!

We booked this Castle after many hours of looking at different Castles to stay in, in Scotland. We chose WELL with Castle Laven. Our hosts are second to none. Jan met us settled us in and made coffee for us in the great hall. Then stories of the white lady were told by Jan. As a professional couple we thought that the stories were good for tourists. Little did we know SOME OF IT WAS TRUE!!!! We spent the night i the master bedroom with our own separate on suite, which was well catered for. We had everything even perfume called poison which i had tried to get before we came to the Castle for my beautiful wife for our anniversary. Lydia had the perfume in the on suite which when we left she gave to my wife.
After breakfast Jan gave us a tour of the Castle and the history of the Castle. Our host Jan and Lydia are great persons whom you can trust and respect. As we have traveled all over the world we are planning a trip back with our friends. Anyone who wishes to stay in a 14 century Castle with great hosts, THEN THIS IS A MUST!!!!!!! THANKS JAN AND LYDIA. About the ghost my wife did experience something, BUT WHAT!!!!!! Go there it is a must.
