“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

We stayed at the Green Anatolia for two weeks in June 2010. The rooms were cleaned everyday, The pool was kept nice and so were the gardens. We only ate breakfast at the hotel as we always went into Hisaronu for food but the breakfast was good! The staff were lovely except the reception staff who just didn't say a word unless it was in Turkish to probably take about you.If you planning on going out of the hotel just consider the walk back as the bank up to the hotel can be hard work in the heat.

Room Tip: Consider the bank up to the hotel if you venture out

“Stolen property.”

We went with friends rather than family so the type of hotel we went for was different from our usual choice. The hotel was okay, what would be expected for what you pay and for the star rating. Staff didn't make much effort to talk or get involved, infact i don't remember talking to any of them! Thomson rep was friendly and gave us contact numbers and directions to the police station when we reported a stolen SLR camera from our room but she basically insinuated that "this is turkey" and that it should have been expected!! The camera was never found and the staff didn't care about the loss and didn't even try to find it! It was taken from our room during the day, it had our holiday photos on it and so obviously put a dampner on the holiday.

Apart from the above, the hotel was okay; food was the same each day so we ate out a couple of times. Rooms were basic, pool was average and very deep, so for less confident swimmers this left only part of it use-able!! Probably not somewhere we would choose to return to.

Hisaronu has changed dramatically over the years and has gone from being a quiet, genuine Turkish resort to an almost Magaluf/party atmoshere resort however we felt safe and had lots of fun during the night. Restaurants wanted to do their best and offered great deals and treated you wonderfully if you stuck to what you said, (you pass them the night before and say you'd go in tomorrow night; they had great memories and remembered you and the deals they made, free wine and starters etc - makes you feel very appreciated and at home) overall a good fun holiday.

“activity holiday but staying in Green Anatolia”

I am not long back from this hotel and to be honest couldnt really fault it. The 'hill' is a pleasent stroll down into the 'village' as everyong calls Hisaronu and a bit most testing on the way back . You pass pommegrante bushs and pleasant scenic views both up and down. Hotel was basic but clean and comfortable. Staff were amazing, chatty, friendly and always pleased to see you. Yes drinks in hotel are dearer but thats to be expected. I would defo go back to this hotel. I loved, loved, loved my week long activity holiday at this hotel with the lovely Erol as our guide. The Turkish bath in this hotel with the lovely 'Jeff' was first class and we all floated up the stairs afterwards. You get what you pay for and yes it is no Hilton but I was expecting the Hilton on this occasion.

Room Tip: I got a solo room which seemed to be the norm at this hotel. Basic but one English speaking channel...

“holiday of a life-time !!!”

this hotel is amazingly spotless, there is no junk anywhere around the hotel. the hotel is highly underated, it deserves a 5 star !!!, i've been too this hotel 2 times, when i was 10 and 12, we went on august 5th - august 19th. it was a holiday of a life-time. i'm an only child and we met the most amazing families. the staff have the best personalities and manners they are always there too help and are really interactive with young kids, they can't do enough for you, they greet you in the morning at the resturant and in the evening once again. the food is to die for the typical turkish rood. chicken, rice, noodles and lovley brittish chips !!! me and my mom loved this hotel and most probably returning next year for the 3rd time, i can't wait till our next visit i miss the bar staff soooooo much their great friends too me now. I hope this reveiw helped i'm only 13 and i hope you kids the same age will have a holiday of a life-time like i did.

Room Tip: if you have 2 or 3 kids and your a couple then get a linked room.

We think we know Turkey pretty well and in a nutshell you get what you see, before we came and stayed in the Green Anatolia we read the reviews and thought we judge for ourselves and the overall verdict was excellent value, the staff were friendly and helpful, its no Hilton Hotel, but the rooms were cleaned ,fresh towels every day and yes it is basic, the food was never going to win food awards but it was tasty and edible, the hill was a challenge but if you paced yourself it was fine, the free bus to the beach was a great help overall a good experience don,t listen to the moaners!!!
