I have to say I agree with most of the negative comments about this place…

Me and my friend decided to go to Adler because it was pretty cheap and as we where staying in Icmeler for the whole of the summer it was ideal to stay there before we moved onto another apartment. Me and my friend are not the type of people who care too much about how the place looks as we are students and we have seen some bad places in our time, and well Adler was cheap so we where not expecting perfection but Adler was ridiculously bad...

ARRIVAL
When we arrived there was no one to meet us to let us into the apartment so we had to wait at the pool side on our own for nearly 20 minutes in the dark as there was no lights on until the security man came back, which at 3am when you are very tired wasn't the best of starts but we got in eventually so didn't really give it a second thought.

APARTMENT
The apartment was dirty, mould was growing in the bathroom and around the door to the “balcony” and it was very very basic.

KITCHEN
We didn't have any cutlery to eat with so we had to go to the pool bar three times to ask for some and when the cleaner (who was a lovely lady) brought some it was dirty although she did apologise and cleaned it for us. we had nothing to drink out of and got so fed up of asking for glasses or cups that we went to Tansas and bought some glasses for ourselves along with a pan and a frying pan as we didn't have those either... We didn't have a plug or a wash basin so we had to wash our clothes and dishes in a pan which was slightly frustrating.

We had a huge army of ants in the apartment which where mainly around the kitchen area in the cupboards and draws and all around the sink they where even in the fridge so we continually had to keep throwing food away that was covered in ants. The ants where even in the bedroom living room area and bathroom which was frustrating not being able to escape them and having them on the beds and sofa bed. When we complained about the ants they came and sprayed the room but this happened at least 5 times and still the ants kept coming. We where just made to feel like we where being silly as they where “only ants”.

BEDROOM
We never had any clean bedding the whole time we stayed there. The towels where stained when we got there and where only washed once in the two week we stayed.
The window didn’t lock and again the room was dirty.

BATHROOM
The toilet didn't flush so it was blocked for most of the time we stayed there and we continually had to get the cleaner to clean it out which was rather embarrassing but there wasn't much we could do about it.
The shower leaked and flooded the room so was really slippery and dangerous especially after showers and it constantly smelt of sewage

STAFF
On first meeting the staff I found them quite pervy although two girls staying on their own was just what they wanted… after making it very clear I nor my friend where interested they changed dramatically and became really quite rude, the only exception being the owner lady who did the cleaning she was the only one who even attempted to help us and was pleasant.
We where told on more than one occasion by the bar staff that because we “partied all night and slept all day and not getting up to eat and drink at the bar then we shouldn’t complain” we even got told on one occasion that if we had a drink at the bar that they would help us.

The waiter was a sleaze I have a Turkish fiancé who came everyday to see me and this vile little boy still thought he had a chance telling me he was better than my fiancé and bragging about his “girlfriends” even trying to give me gifts to spend just one night with him.
Ismet was arrogant and laughed every time I had to go and ask for the ants to be sprayed again and he told me he had better things to do and was aware of the problems we where having and Mohamed was just as bad.

We had asked to be moved at the beginning of our stay after sticking one of our glasses covered in ants in the managers face (which they took away to the bar and never returned meaning we had to share a glass for the rest of our stay) they agreed to move us and assured they would sort it but yet nothing happened until the minute we where just on our way down to the other apartment the day we where finally leaving they told us they would move us and to pack and they would show us the new room when we returned, at which point my friend got rather frustrated and told him what she thought of his apartment and then told he would make a complaint about her. Well we never had a single problem at Selcuk, Bahar or Kurt apartments so I guess we shall stick to them in future.

POSITIVES
The pool was lovely and clean and I never had problems with swimming at 5-6am for a work out. The location of Adler is good as it’s up in the old village and is quiet and peaceful and it’s not too much of a walk down to the bottom. Dolmus is pretty regular just at the end of the road and taxis are cheap enough. And the kittens on the complex made for great entertainment when trying to keep the barman away when sat on the balcony as he was scared of them.


Although there were positives I really do think Thomas Cook need to rethink what their 3star apartments need to provide.

just come back from adler appartments the place makes a pig pen look like a palace ,we arrived at 1.30am it was pitch black n i had 2 search my bag 4 passports in the dark no reception , we wer shown 2 a room but there was no beds made we wer took 2 another room that was worse than the 1st 1 the rooms wer very dirty the sheets wer stained there was dirty underwear left from the last visitors , i told the barman he did nothing , wen we booked the holiday we wer told there was a microwave ..toaster ..and a 2 ring cooker .. plates, cutlery,pans,and cups { wot a joke ] we got 1 dirty pan 2 odd glass plates {well i say plates but they wer more like side plates }2 stained cups a couple of dirty knives and forks with the colour coming off the whole appartment smelt of sewage it was disgustingly dirty the toilet leeked all over the floor the shower flooded the bathroom it was a death trap wen wet , the cuboards wer smelly n dirty the bed sheets wer changed once in the 3 weeks we wer there , i asked 2 see a rep there wasnt 1 we rang a number only 2 b told they wud ring back but they never did , there was black mould in the bedroom which we shared with slugs and tiny lizards there was insects comming from the skirting board that wasnt fixed 2 the wall the fridge was rusty n the ice compartment was solid with ice the curtain was hanging off the runner i had 2 put it back myself , the cooker didnt work we asked 4 another 1 the answer was tomorrow but tomorrow never came , the chef and the slimeball that say,s he, the manager wer no use at all , all they wer good for was lusting after young girls and makin a nuisance of themselves 1 young couple arrived at 4am only 2 b told there wasnt a room 4 them so they had 2 sleep on an old bed next 2 the pool till a room was vacated , i never met 1 person in my 3 weeks there said they wud ever go back again an i myself wud never consider going there ever again even if it wer free the place needs 2 b shut down its a health hazard ,

Had to move hotel as it was the pits. Staff were just awful, no help what so ever. Didnt stay one night in the Adler. Had to pay out again to stay in a much nicer hotel. The holiday company need to stay there themselves to see how poor it is. No air con, dirty whole it is.

listen to the bad reviews everything posted is true, our room was filthy wouldnt let my cat sleep in it. Shower flooded after 5 mins with constant smell of sewerage, live wires hanging out of the wall,cupboard doors hanging off ants and grime everwhere, fridge compartment frozen solid, stained sofas and towels, changed once in 8 days. Ismet Bar Manager was no help regardless of continous complaints. Was promised a different room but never materalised, local people asked where we were staying and would respond rolling their eyes,commenting they were aware, Thomas Cook need 2 remove. 3 star no way, not 1 star in my opinion. On a plus note icmeler as a resort is a nice place receommend Jeep safari and room at Efem Apps
