“Good family hotel”

We stayed at the hotel in September 2011 with my family. The hotel is nice and good for families with children. The hotel is situated right at the border of Icmeler and Marmaris.Mainly the hotels in Marmaris have no territory and is very close to the road, but not Grand Yazici Club Turban! The staff was helpfull and kind. The food very good and different.

“Good hotel-ideal for relaxing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

Went here in July with my girlfriend. it was my first time to Turkey and on the bus from the airport through Marmaris, I started fearing the worst. Passing the other hotel's, I started thinking ours might be as much of a dump as them, but thankfully when I got to Club Turban it was a bit out of the road of the rest and fairly quiet.

The hotel itself is quite nice, we stayed in the main building and our balcony looked out towards the climbing wall which was alright, because we were mainly down at the beach all day. The room was quite big, and broken up into two seperate areas with the double bed situated next to the balcony doors. The room was cleaned everyday and was spotless, as was the toilet, which had a walk in shower as well as a bath with a shower.

The grounds of the hotel are quite nice and pleasant, especially in comparison to other hotels in Marmaris. It has a sort of jetty/decking that goes out into the sea that people can sunbathe on during the day and we didn't struggle to get a sunbed each day, which was a pleasant surprise.

The staff at the hotel bars were all very friendly. Most nights after dinner, we walked down and sat at the bar that looks onto the beach and drank there. It was handy for during the day aswell. We ate at the a la carte restaraunts several times, trying the Turkish and Italian ones, which were really just the same restaraunt with a different menu! Both times, the food was nice and the service was good.

The hotel also had a good range of activities, with a range of watersports (we only done the jetski-ing though) and one of the days I got a Turkish shave in the barbers. There was also the chance to do scuba diving.

Overall, I thought the hotel was extremely good value. The hotel staff were all frinedly, kept the place clean, the weather was great, and I wasn't bored. The food in the restaruant's was also good, so I can only say good things about the place!

“Great hotel - would return!”

Myself and my family thought this hotel was ideal for chilling out, especially if you don't want to venture too far. We travelled with Thomsons and the rep on site was very helpful and friendly. There was plenty of entertainment throughout the days and nights, especially for children of all ages, if you wanted to take part. With regard to the food there is plenty of choice - even if you are fussy. Don't get me wrong, after about 1 week, the food gets a bit repetitive, but that would happen in any 'all inclusive' hotel. We especially loved the jetty to relax on during the day, away from the pool area. We were a family of 3 and were given a family room, which was ideal as there are 2 bedrooms with an adjoining door and 2 bathrooms, which is extremely handy, especially when you have a teenager with you!! We tried the armutulan turkish baths in Marmaris and included an oil massage, which was a great treat, but beware, everything you agree to do at the baths, costs you extra, even if they offer you a soft drink!
All in all we would certainly return to this hotel in the future.

Room Tip: Family rooms - 2 bedrooms that are connected and 2 bathrooms included

“Recommended All Inclusive, Chill out holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

I have been to many AI hotels and wasn't realy looking forward to coming here. I was pleasently supprised. We went to this hotel very late in the season, so sunbeds and space were not an issue, the weather was perfect and in my view the best time to go. We stopped in the main hotel block, my only issues were the room was too hot as air con is centrally controled and it hardly cooled the place down, my main issue was i am an anti-smoker, the air con on many occasions pumped cigarette smoke into our room, i complained many times, i presume someone regullaly smoked under the inlet area of the aircon, the only option would have been to move, but what a hasle, it would have been easier for them to stop the stinking chimney smokers instead, so this was an issue on floor 1.(others also complained about this)

It was nice to NOT use blue had wipes in the hotel unlike many other AI where is seems people get sick. There was NO sickness whatsoever that i heard of, i felt the cleanliness was 1st class in the eating areas. Food was fine, turkey is expensive for food if you ever check out the supermarket prices especially meat, so what the hotel provided is excellent of the money.
The entertainment was very good for turkey and the whole hotel and large grounds were lovely.
This is a positive review as i thought this hotel was very good compared to what i have experienced for other AI i have stayed. There is no issues with guests from other countries. It seems this hotel is getting it right and those chaves from the UK are generally going else where in turkey.
I would return here.
This holiday for me was a CHILL, RELAX and good base for the surrounding areas as i am very active.
as for shopping indoor bizare vs market the bizare wins hands up for quality with a better price than the market, the market sellers have now become the rudest sellers i have heard i feel they have over-stepped the mark, they are making the market there a foul place and they are a disgrace to themselves and their religion, will people realise that the are trying to rip people off for every penny from you with rubbish quality, listen to how rude they are to people antd the awful words they use, if you wander around the bizare you are hastled just as much but it is respectfully , i have found you can do far better deals there and the quality is far better, all you need to do is go in all the shops, and COMPARE the prices to other shops. Don't be afaid of these guys shopping here as its far better than the market. The hair dressers are excellent and cheap too in the bizare, always sort your price out 1st.
PS take the bus up to Mulga it takes about an hour or more its not expensive ( mabey £4-5 each) from the main bus station in marmaris, put on a warm jacket as its freezing up there, but there are few very tourists and its a real turkish city, great for a mooch around, it does have market days but no copies up there, a taste of real turkey
