I stayed at the selen 2 in June 2011 with my mum and we had a fantastic time. We had only paid very cheap last minute so wasn’t expecting much so was pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was ok and suitable for vegetarians and eat at the restaurant a few times which was lovely and good value for money. The room was basic but fine for us it was cleaned every day by a very lovely lady. Its about 5 mins walk from the beach and there’s a decent shop over the road. I don’t think I went in the pool once it was pretty small and lost the sun about 4 but was always busy, I preferred to go the beach which is stunning and there’s many charming beach boys to fetch drinks. I had no problem with the staff and found them very friendly they would always come over and have a chat and ask if we needed anything, the staff was mostly young lads and I found if your nice to them there nice to you. Be warned you get pestered constantly !!! to go in shops or restaurants at first it didn’t bother me but by the end of the holiday it was annoying. Overhaul I had a fantastic holiday and would recommend the hotel and turkey but we did only pay £250 I probably wouldn’t have wanted to pay anymore.

I didn't.... I suppose U get what you pay for. For a cheap holiday it was ok. Apart from one of the staff where trying to get my boyfriend to oogle girls. Not cool. And the cleaners used my braclets (which where in bags on the bed side table)to make pretty towel swans, I would of complained but my boyfriend asked me not to as he liked the cleaners because they had been flerting with him the whole 11 days. Positives locals where friendly.

I have been going to icmeler now for nearly 30 years and i have never once been treated the way i did this year by the staff at selen 2, icmeler - september 20111. A party of 3 of us went and we had booked well in advance. 4 months in advance., When we arrived we are used to seeing nice friendly faces greeting us as we always do, but on this occasion oh my god!!!
we were greeted by rude and unfriendly staff, that bawled at us it were over booked and we were NOT staying there, the people whoever they were, were constantly muttering in turkish under their breath at us, then made us wait for (at the time we didnt know) a van !!! Which turned up, opened the boot, threw and i mean threw our 3 suitcases into the back, man handled us into it and then sped off down the road to another hotel,,, when we got there the driver who never spoke on the way and who never also spoke when we arrived there , then got out our cases, threw them on to the roadside and left us outside another hotel, then again sped off . I have never been spoken to and abused in any country or place like i were this year by the selen ii staff, as i say weve been going now for 30 years and we have a lot of friend there, if this had have been our first time there would have been no way we would have returned.... Not ideal when you are travelling with your 75 year old sister and 70 year old brother in law , who have also been going for 25 years... DISGUSTED... Selen ii staff you should hang your head in shame .

Thank god the hotel we were dumped at was quite a new one and was absolutely brilliant it made our holiday .

Recently returned from a 2 week holiday in Icmelar.Stayed at the Selen.The hotel itself was very good.Rooms were cleaned daily,breakfast was basic but enough The hotel is located in a residential area ,5 mins from the beach and local services.It has a well maintained swimming pool ,with plenty of sun loungers.The main problem with this hotel is some of the staff that work their and the loud music that is played through a PA system all day,from about 9 am untill 12 midnight.You have no chance of having a quiet relaxing afternoon,because all you can here is 'boom boom boom 'music blaring out.Perhaps some people can tolerate this but it isn't everyones cup of tea.I would recommend this hotel but be aware the music is very irritating and some of the staff are very young and immature.
