“Loved it”

I stayed here at the end of May, begining of June with my husband, two children aged 6 & 7, my sister, niece aged 3, Mum & 10 year old brother. Weather was great as soon as it stopped raining for the first two days. The hotel was great and maids cleaned every day with fresh towels. It was difficult to get on the pool table as there is two between the whole hotel. Take advantage of the towels as if you put down a returnable deposit you get a fresh towel every day, well worth it. I always felt that my belonging were safe at all times. Staff were great but as it was such a big hotel it felt less personnel than in the smaller ones we have stayed in before. Speedy the waiter was funny and entertaining and the rest of the staff always had a smile. The food was plentiful with a wide variety from fresh fruit, pasta, salad, meats, fish, cheese, chips and different breads. There is always something for everybody and something different every night. They even has a whole pig roast one night. There was the odd bird or cat but the staff soon shooed them away. If stairs are a problem do not choose this hotel. My mum is a fit 50 and had no problem, the staff would even help us with my sisters buggy. There is music on every night and a great entertainment club for the kids. They had tibetan monks on one night and the kids are never bored. The beach couldnt be closer and the enterance is guarded at all times. The busy bars and restaurants are close enough for a nice stroll but far enough for it not to be noisy. Icmeler is a lovely place and the people do not bother you too much, of course they will try to get you into their restaurants but thats their job and their living. One bar in particular, The Bamboo Bar has fantastic food and entertainment. We stayed here for about 4 hours and had a two course meal with large ice creams, kids had cocktails and we drank larger all night and it only cost around 60 pounds for all 4 of us, great value and they will give you a lift home at the end of the night. The boat trips are not be missed, they are great value at around 20 pound for a family of 4 including a meal, drinks are extra but they dont take the Micheal. Its not too bad to get a sunbed if your down by 8am. This is a place for all ages and we all had a fantastic time but this year I will be going self catering even though the food was great as I like to explore and not be tied down. All in all a great holiday that I would reccomend.

Room Tip: Get down to the Bamboo bar and make sure you look around for the boat trips

“Worth a visit and would def go again”

Stayed here in October with my daughter - it was really nice - food could be better but apart from that it was great - really close to a private beach, clean and friendly. Entertainment was hit and miss but the evenings at the beach bar were great.
Usual chat up lines from the men but that is Turkey for you!
Would definitely go back - it was good value for money in October but the weather was hit and miss too so be prepared for a few showers.
Lovely spa and turkish baths on site with a small indoor pool.

“' A place for everyone , .. well not everyone'”

Me,My wife and Son stayed at this hotel , the bus drive from dalaman airport wasnt exactly a long one , (About 1:30min) , when we got into the hotel , we booked in at reception but unfortunately they was overbooked , so we had to wait 2hours for a room , but to our suprise it was a whole 10 minutes before the staff tracked down a similar room to the one we had booked for , which was great , they was always smiling to matter what , Room overall was always clean , the maid was ever so friendly and Stocked up our personall fridge , bed was cleaned every single day , be aware that every week at around 2PM Turkish Time , they come round asking you to close your doors/windows as they spray round a gas which kills the mosquitos , Only lasts about 5 mins , The Food was Ok ,i must admit there was not a lot of choice when it came to the meals mainly Rice , and reheated Chicken on a lot of it , Russian people are Really rude as they would push in at the ques to get food and give your dirty looks , The bar was nice and so was the staff , always a variety of Drinks , The waitor Speedy , was a total laugh , he would always come for a chat or just to crack a joke , my son Tyler loved him ! , the entertainment was great but it basically repeated the same stuff everyweek , the jokes they came out with was quite inappropriate for the younger generation , they did a competition at one of the night shows for father and son , so my wife signed us up , the aim was to try and win in a head to head relay , The announcer said to my son , Who has bigger Bo***cks , you or your dad , which i found rude but the other guests seemed to find it amusing , the seats on the balcony above the amphitheatre was always crowded , on one night me my wife and son went and sat there to watch a show , but was knocked out the way by some germans who came and sat on our chair arms , in the end we left and went to the room ,because even the theatre itself was crowded , - ---- ... Now i come on the Well not everyone part , i mainly say this because the hotel is situated on a hill , meaning loads of Steps everywhere , so it is not really good for Disabled people , the beach aint all that good as all it is , is some rocks and a drop in , at a usual beach you would be able to walk into the ocean down the sand at your own pace , not this , like the swimming pool you just drop off the end into the sea , which is not good if you have kids , - All Round i will be visiting this place again as it is one of the best hotels i have ever been to - ,

Cant wait to see everyone again.!

Room Tip: if you want sun i reccomend the main hotel rooms , as they are sea facing , if you want quietness...

“Nice hotel, read if you have children”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

The hotel itself was very good and a huge selection of food which could satistfy even the fussiest of eaters. Our first room wasn't great and was almost cellar like with one tiny high up window which was at foot level of the ground floor, the room was very hot and not substantial for the amount of money we paid. We asked that night for a room change and to the hotels credit the room was schedueled the change immediately the next morning and we were assisted with the moving of our cases. The second room was in one of the three level villas and we were situated at the top which has a fantastic view with light furnishing and a beautiful balcony. The hotel is also very clean and has beautiful views of the sea and forest.

The hotel beach wasnt up to much and was a gravel beach with a few sun loungers, but many man made hotel beaches in Turkey are like this and with having children we were expecting to being around the pool for the majority of our stay. There is also many steps in the hotel however these can be avoided by simply going around them and walking up the main path which only took around 2 minutes longer.

The entertainment was good, however the comedy night wasnt great with a lot of cringy crude humor which left people a little in disbelief however the turkish dancing and more traditional entertainment was very good. The hotel also had a night club which was mainly occupied by people from germany and russia however were very friendly and easy to get on with.

Negatives about this hotel included some of the staff pestering our daughters of the ages 16 and 7. Both of our children didn't like the attention from many of the staff and we often had to make our excuses when talking to some of the more persistant staff. The bar staff and restaurant staff were fine however barstaff who collecte glasses and kept up with the upkeeping around the pool repeatedly came up to our eldest daughted and she wasnt enjoying the attenton and friendliness towards the children was too much and we avoided some of the staff. On holiday you should be able to relax without the staff pestering your children, also there was an incident where a young boy was being dragged by one of the waiters by his foot, at first glance it looked like they were having fun however after a short time the boy repeatedly told him to let go and was shouting, this alarmed us and the boys parents and after this we felt that we had to constantly be watching our children. However if you go to Turkey EXPECT to be pestered and if you go without male company you will be pestered all the more this is in shops, bars and the hotels. Turkey is a great place, many of the people are nice however in the shops it becomes tiring and made us reconsider vistiting again.
