“Phenomenal location & Beautiful town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

I hope the owners will forgive our tardiness in posting this review. My boyfriend and I took a road trip in Spain. Unfortunately we arrived late to the hostal but the owners were fabulously patient with us. Getting to the hostal was a bit of a challenge. I would recommend parking your car, locking it and walking to the hostal. The owners will give you better directions when you're face to face with them. Between one way streets and construction - it can be a nightmare but it's absolutely worth it! Your car is safe as long as it's locked and it's much easier to find everything by foot.

The establishment was beautiful and very well kept. We didn't stay for very long as we were on our way to Granada - this is our only regret from our trip. Next time we go to Spain, we intend to spend the entire time in the southern region between Denia and Nerja. The prices are better, the people are more friendly, and the culture is much more authentic rather than the commercialized streets of the big cities.

“Pleasant experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

We had a late arrival and the owners were very warm, friendly, helpful and gracious, spoke perfect English (one from Scotland). The location was on a lovely walking cobbled street in the center of town. I fell in love with the restaurant across the street and down a little called Ca la Pepa Teresa, a modern, very good regional restaurant and ate there both days. I had a hot breakfast, which I don't think is normal, but it was delicious with fried iberian thin ham and two eggs and coffee and juice. Going in November was off season, so it was pretty dead and we weren't able to swim, but easily found street parking. We stayed two nights here and were very happy to have Hostal Loreto as a base to check out Valencia and the beautiful coastal sights to the south. The internet doesn't work so well in the high floors, but worked occasionally. They have a lovely courtyard and an adjoining restaurant.

“the nicest owners, best location”

The hotel is on a street where all the restaurants and bars are, near the cathedral and in the center of town on a pedestrianized street.

The owners are from Scotland and Holland and are the warmest people we have encountered in Spain. It really made the place great. They are very flexible if you are arriving late and so friendly and accommodating.

Rooms were very clean, nice courtyard, good breakfast! Definitely stay here!

“GREAT VALUE FOR GOOD LOCATION”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

On enquiring at the front desk, we were immediately greeted by friendly and helpful staff who explained the Hostal's facilities and simple breakfast.
The room was much better than a lot of standard fare hotels can offer so pleasantly surprised how modestly priced it was.
It has a central position in Carrer de Loreto so there are more good tapas bars within a stone's throw than we could possibly visit in the four nights we stopped.
Better stay a little longer next time !

Room Tip: Suggest room overlooking courtyard to avoid busy street out front.

“No Pool No Noise Just The Best Location For Relaxation Value and Convenience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2011

My wife and I stayed for 1 week in May 2011 whilst visiting friends.
The location in a mainly pedestrianized area meant no traffic noise and the minor inconvenience of a short walk to the front door. When our friends visited they were jealous as not only did we have Air Con, A Ceiling Fan, Power Shower and a Balcony overlooking the street BUT we had a large BATH! A continental breakfast was included in the price and there were many different places to eat within a few minutes walk. The restaurant and bar seating outside was very pleasant and if privacy and quiet was required the enclosed central courtyard was peaceful. The castle is 2 minutes behind and up the hill.
The Scottish and Dutch couple who own it are multi lingual and very helpful. They have a lot of information on local points of interest. I would definitely stay again .

Room Tip: Front room with balcony overlooks street
